He already had a camp for Sean. Umar is harder fight than Sean so he needs more time to prepare for Umar, especially when he had a whole camp for Sean so November is fair for rematch, but now for completely different style.
Merab has lost all his respect in his fanbase. Built all that momentum up just to throw it away with this decision. Had he fought Umar and won, he would’ve gained massive respect in the community but now I think most people are going to want to see him loose.

Secondly, Umar just beat Corey who actually is more dangerous and better fighter than merab. Lasly, merab was also getting the chance to fight for the title sooner but he didnt wanted to fight aljo

I mean MMA isn’t the number one sport yet but it seems like these interviews would still be hard for just anybody to get. I thought I heard he’s going to fight sugar for the rematch which I think is not necessarily what should happen. He should probably fight Fig or umar, but these guys are gonna pick the easiest fights. I just hope he doesn’t make it boring like the last time he fought Sean , even though that’s the only real way he’s going to win his fights. He seems like a nice guy, but his fights could be a little more exciting. I’m cool with the wrestling, but it would be nice if he was capable of producing more damage.
