    Looks like that throat guard took one for the team.
    Nice job.

      I was going to fill it with milliput and paint it, but it's part of the machines history, so I left it (not becuase thats more work and I wanted this thing finished and out the way... not at all) 😉

      Thanks Sparky! Just enough to get it going, although I still need to replace the oil bushings, so they'll get done when they arrive.

      Phil do you mean you will replace them with updated bearing's?

    • @PhilMakesThings
      @PhilMakesThings  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No bearings on this, just oil filled bronze bushes which are a little sloppy, so they need pulling out and new ones pressed in. Top ones are a fairly standard size but the bottom ones I’m sending to a friend who’s going to machine them down to the right size.

      Lovely video. Just the right amount of work to bring it back to life. Looking at your workshop you are where I want to be in a couple of years ( I see many of the same tools!). Though I’m restricted by my 8x10’ shed that also has all the gardening stuff it.

      Try Tuff Saws on 07896 058499 or 01443 819261, lovely Welsh guy, he cut any blade/tooth/length configuration you need for your newest acquisition!

      I don’t have the tools to do a proper full respray and factory restoration so this was the plan really. Just enough to get it going sweet.
      Thankfully the guy that sold it had two brand new Tuffsaws blades ready to go, so it’s got a new blade and a fresh spare ready to. Yeah, it’s a neat little thing and runs pretty well considering it’s 75 years old, or there abouts. 👍👍

      Thank you! Oooo. They’re Charnwood branded but if I recall I ordered them from Yandles (they’re an odd size these days but Charnwood still make them). Thanks for watching 👍

    Hi, thanks for the video.
    What is its modell number? I'd like to find out the type/size of the (wheel-) bearings...
    Thanks in advance.

      I don’t know the model number other than it’s a 10” machine. There aren’t any bearings - they’re 1/2 x 5/8th oil filled bronze bushings.
