I've been sewing for about a year and I finally feel comfortable giving a bodice a try. I have had the hardest time understanding patterns and I find that I learn more details when I work in a free from way. This has to be the best tutorial on making a bodice I have found online. I wish you taught a class, I would pay to learn from you! Thank you so much.
Thanks so much for this! This gave me so much more insight into patter making. I always wondered why the patterns have such weird shapes but now I know! I need to get me a mannequin...
Thank you, this really helped me out a lot! I’m working on making a costume that has a pretty interesting neck line close to a strapless sweetheart shape so your video helped me to figure out how I’m going to achieve the proper shape. You made everything really easy to understand!
i have just ordered a dressmakers mannequin and cannot wait to use it after watching your video. Thank you for explaining how to make a pattern for it. I will be looking on your fb page for more ideas.
Thank you very much for posting this video. I am such a fledgling sewer. I need to learn how to drape. You made the instruction so clear. Your voice is very friendly and calm and that helped me to pay attention. Your steps were clear. Now I think I can try again on my own and I think I'll be successful this time. :)
Love this! Can't wait to see the next video! It's very helpful...I think Im gonna have the courage and try it! I adore this type of tops...very chic and feminine!great job!😘

I just saw this great video tutorial! Love the way you show how to drape and design and show how to make a pattern! Then show how to sew it as well on your next video. If only I had my own body size mannequin. I would like to see how you design and make a pattern on sleeves design and skirts as well thanks! ✂️
I just came across your channel yesterday and I am hooked, you are the Bomb. You broke this down to make something I thought was so complex seems easy.....Thank you I feel empowered...lol

Thank you for this! I have a pattern that already has princess seams but the neckline is a high scoop. Hoping to modify it in to a sweetheart with straps
Just drape the garment and then place it flat on a table and put a piece of tracing paper on top of it and draw. Or maybe you're looking for patternmaking on paper?
I don't think you could drape without a dress form, but here is a cheap way of making your own that does not involve wrapping yourself up in duct tape: patterns.bootstrapfashion.com/index.php/bsf-original-patterns/indie-sewing-patterns/diy-dress-form-sewing-pattern.html?limit=all
Could you do a video on sewing mannequins? Like what do you have to look for in a good mannequin, which you use etc? I think that would be very helpful for us ppl
I'm gonna sound really amateur...but is that to say for every pattern I would wanna make for say people of different sizes, I would have to get a mannequin their size? Or is there a way to adjust that one pattern to suit all sizes?
Can you do more videos on how to use a dress form? I have an adjustable one and when I try to use it from my measurements I find it harder vs outlining something old and use that for a pattern
