- Almost deaf DJ is spinning Vinyl
Hi, I´m Motus! I am a German DJ with a disability. I am deaf in one ear and my other ear has a 70% hearing loss.
Nevertheless, I love music and playing records.
For the beatmatch I use the vibration from the headphones on my eardrums and distinguish the songs by the vibration transmitted from the headshell to the record player housing.
I'm trying to show people that no matter what life throws at you, you can do anything if you want it!
I am a resident DJ at Cyndicut Radio UK and The Underground Liar FR.
I also have my own livestream every Saturday from 22pm - 01am CET (Unless I have to work)

These tunes are for the conisores of jungle, waiting for the 3/4 am Dj set. Cos they know it's gonna be the best set of the night. I only went clubs like AWOL at the paradise, Innersence at the Lazerdrome, Telethapy at the Rex and the dark n dingy clubs. No kids, no high vi's jackets, no dummies. It's all about the Darkside n Hard step set and the love of the music being dropped to those who knew they were there for the top sets. Fuckin buzzing off these tracks fella. have you tried psilocybe mushrooms in low doses to enhance the perception of vibration? i'm working with micro doses of amanita muscaria dried specimen and my hearing goes beyond perfect. sometimes too intense to be around noisy situations. anyhow, happy to listen to a (almost) deaf dj.

No, I haven't tried that. I have been training to sensitise my feeling for 20 years. There are also differences when it comes to dj cartridges, for example.
Some cause more vibrations than others.
My headphone amplifier takes care of the rest :)
