    The word is หรอก. There is ห leading ร so the tone of this word follows high-class consonants' rules: high class + long vowel + stop final consonant = low tone : )

    I thought "รอก" was a falling tone, not a low tone. "ร" is a low-class consonant, has a long vowel, and ends in a stop พยัญชนะ, the "ก"
    I know there are some exceptions, is this one of them?

    Madam what means gadai

    • @ThaiwithMod
      @ThaiwithMod  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The word "ก็ได้ gâw-dâai" in this context is used to assume possibility. It is used together with อาจจะ /àat-jà/ + ..... + ก็ได้ /gâw-dâai/ meaning "probably".
      For example: ทอมอาจจะลืมโทรศัพท์ก็ได้ /Tom àat-jà luem toe-rá-sàp gâw-dâai/ Tom probably has forgotten his phone.
