Story mode was already confirmed thankfully, will it be great that's yet to be seen, but myltiplayer of course is already set for sure

@@Halledoo during the most recent video put out by the official skate youtube channel rounding up major updates for the game. It's also mentioned on the other skate video as confirmed in the other video on skate I have as well.
Imagine they take a custom route like 2K with face-scan but with our boreds!! How lit would it be to upload our own boreds into the game that we skate with iRL
i feel like that could become a legal hellscape from brands being used in their game without EA having a licensing deal with them, but maybe it being player made custom objects would grant them some immunity from that. i'm no lawyer
It's a great thought overall, but in a free to play game that essentially needs to make money to cover development costs. I think it's almost a certainty that never happens. One of their biggest selling points besides something for your avatar would be different and great looking boards and accessories for them.
I’m 100% sure that there won’t be a story mode. I could see an offline mode being possible but that would be pushing it
They state in the developer update there is a story. But only gave vague and minor details about the plot following a rogue group trying to rebel against m corp

I'm personally not a fan of this being "free to play" and I really want to know what is the catch? They are throwing money at this and expect a return. I'd like to know exactly what has been confirmed to be fee for all time and what is going to be restricted unless paying.
I want offline play. I care very little for online play.

Yeah sorry jumbled my words a bit Herr, but essentially, they've already stated that all new places to skate WILL NOT be pay walled in terms of what is confirmed free and paid there will for sure be microtransactions and like a speculate more than likely a season pass. But they've stated avatar items, board customization options, quick drop items, and expressive gestures *emotes* will be earnable in game. But I'm sure there will be paid ones as well

It's still fun. Skating the ramps you build with people is the best feeling. There are different control schemes, one is swipe-friendly, there is also classic and experienced which is exactly like Skate 3.
Id rather it be a paid game without a battlepass

they should release soon it seems the skate industry is dying and needs a resurgence
It definitely isn't anywhere near its early 2000s peaks that I remember imo
Not only that but there’s a huge gaming drought right now, and if they release it in the fall, it will compete with the new cod and all those games that always release in the fall
To your point there are SO many games coming this fall ESPECIALLY October!
needs more realistic physics and foot separation for board control

@@claysoggyfries its only an "arcade game" because its not keeping up. tony hawk is an arcade game. i disagree with the statement that the skate series is an arcade skateboarding series.

I agree but it's a fine line between fun and realistic and unfortunately nobody can get it right...doesn't matter how many people try saying session is good it's just plain not, it's too technical to be fun but on the other hand we also dont want button mashing arcade skateboarding games like Tony Hawk's because that's no longer fun anymore either
@@whothehellisthissmith3108 I actually think Session would be INSANELY fun if they implemented more online and social aspects. The mechanics themselves are so solid and clean and actually doing a line or even setting up a single good clean stylish trick and recording it is dope. It just needs to be more fleshed out and EA could have snagged that market so hard. Happy they didn't tbh.
They should just focus on gameplay.
It's how all games should be. Enjoyment, gameplay, story first (or whatever the games main mode is), and monetization and dlc should be focused on AFTER release.

Unfortunately, that's the trade-off for a free game now a days. Personally, it hasn't really mared me. I have had the opportunity to play some pretty cool games I never would've tried if it wasn't free. So there is some good even if there is some bad
It's basically fortnight. Lame as hell.
Fortnite really changed business models for games ever since its success. Everyone wants a piece of monetization pie.

There's so much they could do. They could do a story mode, where you start out as a regular skater who just moved to a new city, then you become a local legend by winning local comps and beating challenges, then you have to go get sponsored and become amateur pro, then you prove yourself through challenges and competitions and go pro, then you get to tour with the SLS and and do more challenges, and then you get to compete in the Xgames and then you go to the Olympics. But instead they're doing skateboard fortnite.

I feel like 2k should make a skateboarding game. And have a cool story mode like the NBA 2k games.
