Blimey Chris that bike sure has got some grunt. Quickest 125 I have seen. I think you enjoyed that ride a bit to much lol. As always great video the audio is spot on now.

Glad I bought mine last September, lots of parts still on CMPO so let’s hope they continue to support. Just had a lextek stainless silencer installed, sounds amazing.

Seemed a tad bit quicker on my return from the garage, I don’t get up to any speed on my daily commute so it’s all about the sound 😬

This is exactly Malaguti dune 125 ? So Parts should be the same ?

Great video, I have one of these and the only thing I'll correct you on is that the rear tail lights although their appearance is LED like, they are not. They use three 2723 2.3W 12V OSRAM W2 bulbs. I know because I've had the take the entire tail end of twice to replace them. Hope this helps someone.

    What a great review ,thank you 👍 👍 !
Watching this in 2024 and UM are selling this bike again .
Considering getting a new one so do you have any updates on the parts situation currently please ?
Are they still greatly overpriced and what about servicing ;easy for most workshops ???
    Thanks a lot !

      Thats a shame.
I was looking to buy but will probably go for a Sym nht 125 now.
I know it's slow but sure it will be pretty reliable.
      Thanks again.

The only other bikes I know of with that engine which are still being distributed in the UK is the Mondial. They have the same Aprillia engine. Problem it they only make sexy bikes which don't even have the ability to take a pillion on some of them and the ones that do like the HPS have a seat that seems to slant down towards the rear wheel as if it intends to help your passenger slide to their death under the rear wheel. Hopefully someone will take on distribution. I wanted one of these myself.

Picked up one of the last 3 of the Adventure TT version of this over a year ago. Basically these 2 bikes are Derbi Terra with EFI instead. This Engine with full 15bhp was the main reason for the purchase. Fuel mapped is such that close to rev limiter gear changes keeps it in the power band above 5k rpm, however if next gear starts below 5k rpm it bogs down. I wish these could be remapped ... this Euro 4 compliance mapping is the only downer I've found on it but for city riders this should not be a problem. I live rural so it's a bit annoying.
Revs really well and freely after break-in and the difference is quite obvious. Did the hard break-in instead of the pottering around at 30-50 and constant rpm, with two oil and filter changes at 200 and then at 500 miles. Reaches 70mph without any struggle as such but tops of then.
Sad to see the end of this bike in UK.

I have one, but Malaguti Dune X. With USB in the dashboard. Great Bike, but the factory chain is garbage. I've put a DID chain in it, and changed front sprocket to 14 teeth, instead of 13. Almost 10.000 km in the click. According to GPS, it can go about 106 km/h on flat road, without wind.

Just like you said, it seems that the big sprocket is definitely hampering the performance of this bike, I haven't seen other UM bikes but comparing other 125cc bike, the 0-70(max for the sprocket) is very fast, I wonder how much the acceleration would go down if a smaller sprocket is installed.
