Thanks, Zameer, I visited in 2011 and I had read the book 'The Island' by Victoria Hislop before. Which made my visit even more emotional. I advise all to read before you visit. It is based on the experiences of the people who were forced to live and die on the island. It would have been good for you to have talked about the history. Beautiful though, I want to go back now. :)

Nice to see you getting the recognition you deserve ! I remember visiting Spinalonga in 1993 , it was very basic then , no cafes , etc ! The guide on the boat told the passengers to look down the pits where you could see human bones ( possibly animals )! It's improved so much now ! Please do another video from plaka and the surrounding area .

Once again Zameer you have given us another great video with this fantastic trip to Spinalonga. It is such a humbling place to visit when you read about the hardship that the lepers had to endure up until the 1950s. You really deserve all the great comments from your viewers.

Nice vid. Zameer!, one point though you could have told something about the purpose of the island .
Cretan government banned people with Leprosy there from 1903 till 1957 until there were medicine's for the disease.

Hi Zameer, thank you for the video. A lot has changed since I last visited in 2015. @@bellcross7I got an coach trip from Hersonissos to Spinalonga last October for 29 Euros, Picked up outside hotel and picked people up in Stalis and Malia, the coach trip stopped at Agios Nikolaos for an hour, then onto Elounda and the boat trip to Spinalonga, we had a few hours on the island then went to another island had a barbecue on the beach then got dropped back off at the hotel. You will see loads of excursion shops selling that deal. Great day out.
