The poor performance of foreign companies is due to India's unfavorable tax system.😑😑

    • @PeterGerald
      @PeterGerald หลายเดือนก่อน +6

Someone driving a 4m+ car is paying 30% income tax, 28% GST, 22% CESS, Upto 12% Road Tax, 18% GST on insurance, 18% GST on processing fees in case of loan, almost 26% tax on fuel, GST on service and spares at 18%, GST on tyres at 28%, accessories upto 28% and have to drive on pothole filled roads with no street lights.
Higher the cost of vehicle, higher the maintenance and higher the indirect taxes throughout your life.

Have you ever tried to know why?
Here's a small comparison to open your eyes to Reality.
VW *T-Roc* manufactured in Germany Top Variant with DSG Gearbox was sold for ₹23.35 lacs. (including 100% Custom Duty) + same existing same Tax structure GST 28% +Cess 15% on GST.
Taigun Top Variant with DSG is presently offered at ₹21.10 lacs. Inspite of about 95% localisation with atleast 30% compromise on Quality when compared with CBU T-Roc. As an Indian I feel being Cheated. No now their Cars are better built than many in the competition. But their Pricings are not justified in the fierce competition in Midsize 4.3 Mts SUV Segment.
My Question is than why So Very Expensive when car has been Compromised for Quality & 95% Localised.
The Co. is fully aware of their offerings - Quality issues & Problems.
Plus their past history of high cost of Maintenance alongwith unethically milking of their well built Vento & Rapid car owners does not create an image of trust & confidence for new Car buyers.
Due to declining Sales nos. every month they have realised their Pricing Mistakes. Hence are offering big discounts upto ₹2 lacs+ on selected variants.
So they themselves have to be blamed for their disaster.

The brands like Honda and VW are struggling as they have limited models and are on a higher price bracket over many of Maruti's offerings ( like swift, baleno, Fronx) and Tata mini car segment. The price of the car is the sole reason for poor sales plus limited sedan demand crunched them more. Citron and Jeep are inexperienced in the Indian market.

You will have to modulate your driving if its Honda City you are going for. The suspension is soft so timely braking and using diagonal method of crossing poorly designed speed bumps will need to become second nature. Also the front shocker travel is not too long, for example - if there is a pothole right after a big speedbreaker then you may hear the shockers bottoming out.
Do a long test drive and figure this out per your own natural driving style. Spares are not easily available outside (non showroom).
Would you consider Honda Elevate to avoid these perceived issues?

Actually, the 2-wheeler market in India is doing quite good. Triumph and Harley Davidson are back in India with partnerships with Bajaj and Hero. KTMs are doing quite well, and Husqvarna are in partnership with KTM for their bikes. RE is making name in the whole world with their 350 and 650cc engines.
As for 4-wheelers, I feel there should be a mention about the recent investment by JSW in MG Motors India, which would probably grant the company more life. The recent price hike in MG vehicles might be a result of this, I guess.
Honda is planning on bringing the electric version of Elevate.
As for the general prices, I think a correction is due. Because there was a bumper sale of cars in the past 2-3 years after COVID and a lot of the people have bought cars are young and they won't buy another for atleast 5 years more. So I personally think the prices would go down and we would see a big change in the advertising of companies like MG, Renault and the Stelantis group.

We don't require turbo engines till 1.5 Ltr engine options. Cars like Amaze, i20 etc should start coming with 1.5 NA engines. In cars of bigger size only we require turbo option. If companies not giving what people want and wanna sell what they gonna provide then that stuff won't sell much.
Amaze requires 1.5 NA engine and Elevate requires atleast 1.8 Ltr NA engine or 1.5 Ltr 4 cylinder turbo engine as an option. Neither CNG nor diesel then how they gonna provide more mileage. That's where these companies are lagging from competitors.
VW has only Turbo petrol engines. Instead they should have brought Kushaq or Slavia etc in EV fornat.

It would not be fair to say that bottom of the five companies would pack and leave. Companies have different strategies... And products. There will always be customers who love styling, looks and driving feel. Stellantis India is frugally invested in India but plans to export engines. Tata fiat is still operating and made a profit of 753 Cr last year by selling engines. So for example Jeep and Citroën would OK with modest sales and still survive

We can't even see full performancr of these cars in highways due to speed reducers at every intersection. And more traffic in towns.
-If they want to be in market they can build cars under 10 lakhs with good milage.
    - indian middle class people just need a car with good milage and easy maintanace. Sporty car feel not required.

How about super hybrid cars to increase fuel mileage by 70% with strong EV motor support.
30-50% fuel power and 50-75% EV power having self and external charge system ?
    Will this concept work?

Sorry to say EVs are the future.Until Maruti/Hyundai come with mass market EV under 20L, things may not change quickly here. However worldwide their sales are only rising. Indian car market is small, bare minimum profits which is why premium car companies will exit.

“The sedan market is dead” this statement really makes me very sad, the driving dynamics of a well made sedan is unmatched, but the thing is the international brands failed to understand the indian car market. Honda doesnt offer options, no engine options, the condition of indian roads in general isnt great, so the consumer is biased towards ground clearance than dynamics. Honda not updating their products regularly is also an added reason for them to perform so badly in the indian car market

Actually huge loss for Maruti as its sales are almost 10% down... But any car company should provide spares to third parties like Maruti does... Especially VW, Honda, Nissan, Renault... People really not ready to buy these cars because lack of spares...Nissan and Renault are hell for finding spares after 5 years... Hyundai and Maruti are the best companies to provide spares for after market sales to any vendor...Tata and Mahindra cars are of amazing built quality but their sales department don't have any idea about their own car parts complaints....😂😂😂😂😂

Honda India has to blame themselves for their disaster in India. For many reasons like :
-they have really good Cars in their portfolio but would launch their dated Cars in India.
If they launch them they would starve them of good feature list & offer stepmotherly treatment to Indian buyers.
      - There no WOW factors offered in Honda Cars including the last launched Elevate. No better engine option nor good Cabin insulation are offered Inspite of fierce competition in Midsize SUV Segment.
It seems Honda is not interested in India at all & hence this half hearted, lackluster approach.
