Hi Josh Rogosin please come to Shillong a small city of a state called Meghalaya in India, we have very beautiful Folk music and the stories of the people here is just so amazing, Someone such as yourself would really help share our stories.
This is awesome, stoked to follow it. Love all the performers from Baja! Typing this on the last day of a motorcycle trip through Baja including todos santos. Love this place.
Always love your recording style on Tiny Desk so more great recordings of performances is a big win! Looking forward to this series. It's amazing on my hifi even over youtube this audio sounds better than many cd's I have recorded in the studio. I can only imagine how good a totally uncompressed file must sound.
So happy to see Josh's new project, and thank you for this amazing video! Do you take recommendations for musicians? I know of a great musician (and a friend of mine) who lives in Kyoto, Japan, and also works as an English tour guide there. What would make him even more interesting for you is that he, too, used Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina for his most recent recording! Any chance??
@@GlobalSoundConcerts Thank you for your reply! Yes, I would love to see your amazing work in Japan with Japanese musicians! Kyoto is Japan's old capital and has lots of historic sights that are well-blended with the nature. I definitely recommend going there and meeting up with my guitarist friend! While I do not intend to be pushy in any way, could you let me know how to get in touch with you if and when you're into that idea?
@@GlobalSoundConcerts Thank you for your reply again! I'm sorry for some reason my reply didn't get sent. Yes, I will send you a message on instagram. Thank you again!

I experience cognitive dissonance when the somic ambience differs from the scene, as in 99% of movie sound. These examples sound like a rectangular studio space. If you chose your recording locations for their acoustics rather than picaresque faux nature of a city park and/or captured more of the ambience on site it would be more compelling and meaningful. I find that gathering places where there is an audience for musical performance is best for the energy of the performance, and recording the audience interaction with the acoustics is an important part of the listening experience. Recording studios are the wrong place to record, the incidental noises make it real.
Let me know where I should go next!
Josh is the best!
Good luck with the new project, can't wait to see more of it
Thanks for coming along for the ride ❤
