Derek could match a Kanima and an augmented alpha, Scott could match a Lowenmensch Alpha. Beta Derek, while definitely powerful to send some alphas packing, can’t beat Scott. Scott is not a fighter, he prefers diplomacy, and is a very reluctant fighter, if it’s serious, he will fight with his all, and we all know what happens when Scott doesn’t hold back.
And he playing that role so well like I was a lil iffy from the Superman scenes we saw in the Arrowverse before his show, but Superman and Lois is one of the best Superman shows ever, up there with Smallville.
Courtney Rent you have to get physical when restraining supernatural beings. And I think the director made that fight scene that way as an effort to make the fight more animalistic, but their humanoid shape just made the scene awkward.

@@phantoms9431 Uh, Scott got pounded by Liam, his beta, and he's never won a fight against Derek, not when they were both betas, not when Derek was an alpha, (I don't think we ever saw them fight when Scott was an alpha). It doesn't actually make sense for Scott to win. Remember the Berserkers? Scott really couldn't fight them, whereas Derek was able to not only fight them, but he is the only one who killed one. Honestly, being a true alpha didn't seem to really give Scott any special abilities. He just became an alpha who didn't have to kill anyone to do it. That's it. Sure, we saw him with an extra strong looking alpha form that he NEVER USES, but it was the same sort of shape Peter could take when he was an alpha. I think Derek could beat Scott even as a beta.
I always wondered why alpha Peter could turn into a werewolf monster like the beast/ Marcel but Derek and Scott never did as alphas? Was it cause Peter and Marcel were evil and would completely let go of control or something else? The ladder is the only solution I could come up with..I know Derek could turn into a wolf at the end like his mother but Peter would turn into a monster with no human traits at all.
So I think the reason Peter turned into the Werewolf monster when he was an alpha was because he was murdering a lot of people and he liked killing so he then became a beast

He's a red herring if anything...but no he's not bad. A good person who has been orphaned, manipulated, hunted, and even killed his own uncle. With all of this he is one of the strongest characters on the show even though he rarely wins a fight.
