    I’ve listened to you for years now and this is the first time I’ve heard you speak of Paraguay; of course, now it’s a fantastic opportunity for you to sell your services. Which by the way I applied for two years ago but I was denied despite having 7 figure net worth….sour 🍇

    I came two weeks too late and submitted documents for 2 years TR which is suposed to be approved within two months. THen, in two years you can apply for the permanent residency.

    For me, when it comes to Latin America, and I have traveled extensively in Latin America, the places I would consider are: Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. Yes, one could argue Costa Rica, Panama, maybe even places like Brazil or Paraguay, but I have my preferences. I also remain partial to Argentina, despite it having a troublesome economy. I actually like Colombia and Mexico. Paraguay... maybe nice to visit, but not my thing for long term residence.

      Which of these countries is quiet? I've been living in Colombia for 4 years. I've been in the big cities, the little towns and even out in the rural areas. No matter where I go, there's always a neighbor blasting music all day and night so loud that I can't relax in my own home. I'd love to find a South American country that doesn't have this culture.

    • @rahuliyer7456
      @rahuliyer7456 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@rickhall517930 Latin Americans can be noisy. If you are in a large city, you are asking for noisy.
      As far as what I would call quiet...and I mean quiet, and away from music and parties, here are my thoughts.
      1) Villa Ycho Cruz in Argentina's Lake District, near Carlos Paz, and within driving range of Cordoba Argentina. This is out in small town.
      2) maybe somewhere around Puebla or Cuernavaca... maybe Queretaro in Mexico.
      3) maybe somewhere like Tuis or Suiza near Turrialba in Cartago province Costa Rica
      4) maybe somewhere like Todos Santos or La Paz in Baja California, Mexico.
      Bottom line... avoid the tourist towns, and go out to the rural areas. That is where you find the quiet.

    Paraguay residency actually became easier since you no longer have to put in $5000 for several months there. Now you get temporary residency without ANY requirements (other than no criminal record) for 2 years, if you have a Western passport. After that you get permanent residency, though here you have to have either a university degree (from anywhere) or prove that you can sustain yourself with capital or at least minimum wage income from a business.

  • @pg618
    @pg618 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Argentina 700 a month income, you get residency. Black market exchange of money is double your money and it's legal and it's a good time to purchase land or a house.

      Currently in Brazil after spending 5 months in Argentina. Love Argentina and am considering residency. if you are retired and have income from U.S. or Canada, do you still end up paying taxes in Argentina, as a temporary resident ? I think Mexico doesn’t even require you to do taxes if your income is not from Mexico ?

    • @Orson2u
      @Orson2u ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Booboonancy - Yes. I believe Argentina requires taxes to be paid on WW income. If you have low income that may work for you. But not is you have liquid assists outside the country. (Tax deferred like land may be a different matter.) Anyway, PR in Argentina is not for me.

    When simultaneous EMP's explode over North America and Europe, how is one going to relocate to Paraguay "quickly?" Build a sailboat? Better to find somewhere you can immerse yourself in NOW and just get on with it. When the time comes, there will be no more indicators than we see right now and as Andrew loves to say, "better to be years too early than a day too late."

    The plan is to buy several rentals if silver will take a good run up as the economy resets perhaps next year. Hopefully that happens sooner than later. The real estate mkt here in Texas is still decent although inventory is increasing. What about finding assumables?
