    Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July. Had my lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy 3 weeks ago. Officially Stage 2 ER/PR+ HER2- Having my hysterectomy bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy in 4 weeks. Starting chemo after that then radiation then endocrine therapy after that. You have eased my mind so much. Thank you. I have gone into this all along reminding myself that this is all temporary. I can do anything. I can do this. Thank you again! Stay well! Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.

    I hope my hair will grow soon 😢 I finished Chemo 3 weeks ago and I still don’t see any signs of growth. I just want to look more like I did before. It’s still falling out in the back and I have a little fuzz on top. I’m a hot mess under the cap. I use a scalp scrub and collagen but I’m thinking about the lash serum. Thanks for all the tips!

      I'm sorry it's taking so long to grow! I hope you see hair in the next 3 weeks. Your body has been through so much and it needs to reset. This can take time. Much love to you!

      @@r.c.9163 It’s one hot curly mess of hair now. I haven’t cut it yet but my hair grew back curly and very thick. It’s long enough now that I have to style it and those who don’t know me from before, can’t tell that it had fallen out. It looks like regular hair. I really do think the scalp scrub worked well. I hadn’t anticipated for how curly it is though. I had pretty straight hair before all of this. I had to do a trial and error with curly hair products so it doesn’t look like one frizzy mess. My attitude is that I’m thankful for whatever grows out of my head. Thanks for asking.

    What do you use for the Neuropathy and the numb ness … how long did it take to go away

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not currently using anything. When I had pain in my hand from chemo in 2015 I did physical therapy with dry needling (also painful) and was given a prescription of Gabapentin which I did not take. All of these could be options for you. I believe time itself sometimes is the key to healing and nothing can speed that along. I hope you have healing.

    Hi there Marina! :) thank you for your videos ❤️ I’m left with 2 last chemo sessions insyaAllah and I’m starting to look for products to help with hair and lash growth. And I’m interested about the lash serum you mentioned. Did you start using it right after your last chemo or did you wait until some lashes started to grow first? Thank you, God bless you 🥰❤️

    • @eunabi
      @eunabi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I heard that grande lash can cause eye irritation to some, so I wonder if it is okay to use it while I have no lashes to protect my eyes from the serum?

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would wait until lashes start to grow so about 4-6 weeks after chemo would probably be fine. Stop using it if your skin is too sensitive though. This can improve over time.

    Im also Early stage TNBC not spread...my 2nd Chemo this Saturday...after this still hv 2 EC +4 Taxol... After this Radiation...long journey
    Dear Marina when did u loose yr hair... according to u which chemo is harder EC or Taxol

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I lost my hair between 14-20 days after chemo. AC was harder at first as far as nausea. Taxol gets harder as you do more infusions as far as fatigue and a weakened immune system.

    Shirley here, does using a razor cause facial hair to grow back thicker?

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t noticed. It helps to get rid of the long “peach fuzz” well. If you’re removing thicker hair in the face waxing is probably better if your skin isn’t too sensitive after chemo and radiation. It could take a couple months to have your skin feel health too. My hands had cracked skin for months after chemo.

    Is it right that people with BRAC mutation live short live 😩? Live is not fear if it is like that .My friend had BC stage 3 B she is BRCA2 she finished her 8 cycles of chemo done double mastectomy followed with radiation she is now on hormone pills and Zoldax and zometa.
    Visited her oncologist he said she should take an oral chemo for a year even her CT showed her body clear cause she is brac 2 he offerd the oral chemo she refused that because she doesn't want to put more chemicals into her body..WHy is endless with people with BRAc she said now she is so worried about her kids she is keeping say sorry to them every day even it is out of her control.from your experience do u recommend her to get those oral chemo and do you think CA will come back since she's BRAC 2 and I know you're mom first time when she was diagnosed she did not know she is BRAc 1 so went through standard treatment and it come back after 13 y.....plz reply and thank you

      Hi, good question. Since this is such a medical involved question I would ask her doctors and get a second opinion. We live in a time where they do know more about genes and how they work which can be helpful but hard when it comes to decision making. I would do the medication if she is able to physically and financially, but that is my opinion.

    People with cancer can’t afford to buy products!

    • @MarinaBlackford
      @MarinaBlackford  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is sad but true. Cancer treatment is so expensive. My first 2 questions when I was diagnosed my first time: “am I going to die” and “how can I afford this”?? I had to do a gofundme to pay for my treatment the first time I had cancer. I was single and paying all my own bills. It’s one of the reasons I worked as much as possible during treatment.
      These items are for anyone that would like to try stuff for hair growth.
