The best Franz and Sisi for me, truly the chemistry of these two on screen is electrifying. Jannicke Schumann is so talented. He has this way of communicating his thoughts and emotions in a scene just by the look in his eyes. He's a marvellous actor.
I know there are many historical anachronisms and inaccuracies... and I don't care. I love this adaptation, and this edit of yours is absolutely amazing!
They had their first serious crisis already when she was 24. The new book "Under the Spell of a Myth" mentions her many young teachers who fell in love with her. A fabulous read!
I love this actor. But the real life couple weren't as happy as them. Especially sissi. She wasn't quite emotionally attached to him. And she was quite miserable. And her kids were taken away from her.

It’s 10 years after that they’re find a way back has they’re last child and the end they had.

Her aunt/mother-in-law would bully her saying that Sisi wasn't fit to be empress and that she hadn't fulfilled her duties until she had a son. Her first three children were taken by her mother-in-law, and Sisi was upset that Franz didn't do anything against his own mother to support his wife. Their fourth child was born years later when Sisi was campaigning to have Hungary join the Austrian Empire. By then Franz's mother was dead, so Sisi could raise her child how she saw fit.

Their relationship is romanticised in almost every adaption and there probably should be something more real, so the real story won’t be lost but I think as long as you know that life is not that perfect and their life wasn’t either, it’s okay.. I enjoy stories about sissi and her with Franz and I know it was not like that but sometimes I love to just lose myself in a romanticised version of the 18th and 19th century. It’s okay because I know it’s not real.
Excellent! But, still, the 1955 Sissi by Romy Schneider was the best in my memory. When you see Romy, even as a woman, oh, gosh, you just can't move your eyes off her, Breathtaking beauty!

A diferença entre o " A imperatriz " da Netflix e " Sissi" da Globoplay e que a falsa condessa que a serve no da Netflix é uma revolucionária infiltrada e no da Globoplay é uma prostituta que a própria Sissi inventou o papel de condessa. Entre outras coisas. O temperamento do Kaiser tbm é mais ou menos dependente da mãe... Todos são adaptações...rs
I just watched season 1 of this show on Netflix and this is not the cast I just watched and from the looks of this one they got married in this but that has already happened in season one there is another season coming so did they recast the entire show for season 2 or is the Netflix one a remake? Netflix's The Empress is a different show. This one is called Sisi.
The actual history was tragic… I prefer the fictionalized /sweetened version. :(. They are perfect for each other in fiction at least.
