Manhattan Records is a well-established record store located in Shibuya Udagawa-cho, Tokyo.
It opened in 1980 and has been operating in Shibuya ever since.
Although it is now known as one of the sacred places for hip-hop in Japan, legend has it that when the store was first established, it rented a tatami room in one of the condominiums.
The carefully selected lineup of hip-hop classics from each era is well worth a visit.

マンハッタンはもうレコ屋のメッカともいえる場所だと思うけどラインナップが綺麗すぎるというかディグの楽しみが薄いというか。
近くのHMVとかの方が個人的にはまだ好きかな。
