Congrats 👏🎉 on your five years. We have 1 year this month and with NO REGRETS. Time goes so fast and thanks for sharing your adventure. We are residents of CR and have no plans of moving back to USA. We rented all over CR for 9 months until we found our spot now and purchased our home in Barva. Here's to many more years for ALL OF US !! ILL look you up when we come visit Samara.

@@alenakrofianova Hola, we don't get hurricanes where we live in the Central Valley. We are surrounded by mountains. The Caribbean side gets hurricanes and the pacific side of our beaches here gets the heavy rains and winds and flooding but not hit by hurricanes itself.

Just returned from an 8 day trip to Guanacaste. We love the people, the region, and the simplicity there. Pura Vida!!! hopefully we will be able to escape some cold weather here during the winter and spend some time in CR.

I miss my country very much with all my being because I have lived in Marseille France since 2014 and how I miss everything, my people and my land. I have not been able to return since 2019 and then with the pandemic I could no longer go, now I hope to be able to visit my family this year if God allows it. Well that wasn't said in the comment, we get hundreds of people asking if they can "pick our brains" so we need to be clear to anyone that uses that term where our boundaries are, I'm sure you understand. We prefer containers for many reason like the solid structure, uniquiness and cost, plus we build them up off the ground which helps in rainy season
Oh wow...no need for you to get so offended. We realize that you made a comment, but you didn't say anything about the actual intention of your comment, therefore you came across like another random person wanting to contact us and try to take our valuable time "picking our brains" with a bunch of questions and having some bizarre expectation from us. It happens all the time, people are a bit crazy! 🤪 We provide all information (and then some) from start to finish about container homes in our videos all over the place so in that case people can spend some time watching the videos we have spent a lot of time and worked very hard on and put out publicly for free for everyone to view. A really helpful video would be describing the process of selling almost everything, what you packed in all those suitcases, what getting through customs was like and the taxes you paid on what you brought in. Did you ship anything and what was involved in that?

We are looking at making the move in about a years time. My wife works for Marriott, and she wants to run one of the resorts there.

Depends on what you classify as bad, In San Jose it's busy but no different then any city. In Guanacaste we have a lot of single lanes so you can get stuck behind a tractor or Bulls pulling a cart but when you are here it's Pura Vida and just chill haha. Thanks for watching and God Bless!

Excuse me? We did not! There were no trees on our property when we purchased it. It was bare land that was used as farm land by our Costa Rican neighbours.
