I was thinking about getting one of these this morning, I just looked this up to get some information…and damn, this is one of the best instructions videos I’ve seen on TH-cam in a long time. This video is outstanding, and straight to the point.
Really helpful video. Great pacing, the right level of detail. I feel confident taking down, cleaning and maintaining my new (used!) 1300. Thanks very much for providing high-quality support for this older system.
Hands down you provide the best most literate easy to understand and well articulated break down of any firearm by any content creator that I've ever seen. Bless you brother thank you
In this case I feel like the manual tells people the trigger assembly pin is directional for no good reason. It fits all the way through on both sides so why make it a big deal? Is there something with the detent that makes it directional?
As far as I can tell, it's not critical. Tougher to get out the other way, but reassembly seems to be more forgiving. The stevens 320 series guns are virtually identical except for the action bars and the plate under the bolt carrier.
Thank you. I have a 1300 like this. With all wood. The top rail of my vented barrel has been slipping forward after 5 to 10 shots. I can push it back. But it slowly slips forward with each shot.Has anybody else discovered this? Or is there a simple fix? I am in Canada and apparently these barrels are impossible to find. Any help would be good thank you
Hard to say what’s going on without looking at it. If your foregrip is not coming off, try pushing the metal rails up and down while you pull it away from the receiver. When the foregrip comes off the bolt should come with it.
Perfect instructional video. No unnecessary chatter. Very simple to the point instruction. Does not skip steps.
Thank you!

If only all field strip videos were like this. Thanks.
Any time!

Simple and straight to the point, thank you
You’re welcome.
Great video just picked up one these puppies yesterday, video helped a ton
Glad to hear it! Can’t go wrong with a 1300.

I’m not really sure, I’ve had some that go both ways but others won’t. Depends on the year it was made.
@@TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen a lot of kids made after 2000 seem to go both ways. They don’t make em like they used to😂

Job well done mister. Enjoy 😉
Thanks!
thanks, good breat down
You’re welcome, thanks for the feedback.
my barrel is stuck crooked onto the receiver. Any tips?
Sometimes it will get jammed in a weird position. It may take some force to pull it out.
AWESOME 👍
Thank you!

Never seen that happen before. Maybe something is sheared off on the underside of the rail?
Thanks 🌹
You’re welcome!
Excellent video like everyone says. Just one question. What type of lubricant or solvent do you recommend for the maintenance?
My favorite is Rem Oil, cleans and oils at the same time! I’ve used it for years and none of my firearms have rusted or ever had a major malfunction.
My bolt isnt coming out at all

Didn't want to mess with the magazine spring for the video?
Yea, honestly I never take it out.
@@TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen My spring comes out the minute I take the magazine cap off.
Weird, that pin removal is opposite what everyone else says which is to push it TOWARDS the ejection side. Why so?
Not sure about everyone else’s, but that’s the way the pin works on mine.
I guess I'll just be careful when I remove mine till I figure which way it likes! Appreciate the reply, great vid!@@TheGreatAmericanOutdoorsmen
@aaron71 thanks!
The way he does it is opposite the what the manual says as well as opposite what others on YT are doing. It seems to work, but just calling it out.
