Love your vlog! We enjoy the same types of travel adventures. We also had the privilege of living on Oahu for some time and loved to see Denny throw the shaka in this video. Big Sur was our first trip going off the grid. Such an amazing experience unplugging and just enjoying the beauty around us. Now we try to unplug on every vacation.
Denny and Nikki i have been watching every day for your next video. I have missed you. I have watched every video you created in Hawaii. I am a mother of children your age whom you both look so much like my kids so I have a special attachment to you, i watch you because I discovered you in a place i left my heart years ago - Hawaii. I have been coming to Hawaii each year for past several years with my daughter and son enjoying the island, its hikes, its sites so when i watch you its like being there during these covid times that i cant be there. Although Hawaii is so beautiful, creation is everywhere around us and your enthusiasm for its beauty is evident in all your videos. miss you very much in Hawaii but your extended honeymoon adventure is so beneficial = such a part of your appreciation for all that creation offers. The Sequoia trees, are they not truly awe inspiring. I am hoping to be back to Oahu next year when things open up. I am from Toronto Canada. In closing i want to say congrats on your wedding.
Hi Elvie! We really enjoyed reading your comment. So awesome that you still visit the beautiful islands with your children. You are definitely right, there is so much beauty to explore in the world. And once we moved to Oahu, we understood why people love the islands and keep coming back. Thanks for watching and we really appreciate your support :)
General Sherman was alive for a millennium before Jesus was born. That spot in the Sequoias is located in one of the most extreme places on Earth: The coldest spot recorded in America (southern Sierras), the official hottest spot ever recorded on Earth (134° Death Valley), the largest tree on Earth, and the oldest organism on Earth (Methusaleh tree, 5k yrs) are all within about 100mi apart. Geologically speaking, Big Sur is still rising which is why the area experiences constant landslides. Much of the highway along Big Sur had to be surveyed and leveled by hand and foot due to the terrain…and the final cost for the Bixby Bridge was $200k in 1932. It was fun to watch the video…this is the California that many of us who grew up here know.

Wow, I am bummed we missed the Methusaleh tree! That would've been amazing to see! We loved both of these locations! Your state is filled with some amazing gems!!
@@DennyandNikki Methusaleh is elevated on a relatively remote mountain…due to its scientific and historic significance, I believe that it’s at least “unofficially” restricted. In fact, there was damage done to it in the past by idiotic fools. It’s an awe inspiring thought…that living tree sprouted before the Pyramids existed. As an aside…the tallest tree on Earth is a Redwood in Northern California whose location is kept a secret by scientists. It’s one of the great hike searches in the world…somewhere in the dense Redwoods it stands.
I simply love you guy’s videos!!!

Great videos guys. I hope you didn’t just stop for coffee in Carmel, it’s one of the best beach towns in the world, I visit often. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for watching! You've given us a good reason to go back because we missed the beach there! The Big Sur/Monterrey area deserves multiple trips.
@@DennyandNikki it’s not just the beach but the town and restaurants, etc. You might want to try the Flying Fish Grill and there’s other great places
