I took it on a trip to Europe when it was first released many years ago. That was possibly the most fun I’ve had with any “digital” camera (having spent most of my photo life with 35mm and medium format) the manual controls all over it reminded me of my old film canon A1.
So funny. I was looking at your D800e video from 6 months ago, and wondering about your everyday. I've got the Ricoh GRiiiX but I think it's a bit overinflated in pricing, and so some days, I think about selling it back and going for something like what you covered in this. Camera people just can't be happy with what they have. It's a forever curse, the GAS.
Thanks for viewing Chris! I dropped my LX100 on its head and now the screen goes funky every now and again. It's not that I want to sell this thing, but now I'm thinking of it as well to snag a cheap Sigma Dp to pop shots with this fall. I don't have GAS either (maybe I do haha)
Hi Matt! Awesome video! I just did a client photo shoot, Had a DSLR and several small point and shoots, the client loved the images from the P&S. We had good light and really felt I was getting more keeper images from the smaller camera. I even shot some on a 16mp digicam and really felt the freedom from the clunky DSLR Thanks for sharing. one thing I do like is a tilt screen, being older, my getting down on the ground and getting up was a pain... lol
Thanks for the comment! I'd like to know that selection of point and shoots ya used! I dream of shoots that I could get away with tiny cameras lol! I would prefer a tilting screen myself so I can line up verticals without straining. I threw my back out sneezing last week so I get that haha
@@MattsNotes Most of my cameras come from Pentax, K-r, Mx-1, Q, Xg-1, X-5, Optio V520. TBH, anything I find that can and will work. Amazing how some digicams can stand up to much newer cameras. There are always limitations, but knowing that forces some creativity.
Appreciate it man! I should've but the hotel had too nice of a hot tub and pool for me to want to skip it for a tattoo healing lol! I'm thinking the next one I will haha

You captured some fantastic images and video with that m43 camera Matt. Hopefully you picked up a new tattoo whilst at the event!
