I love both, but I think the Pilot Kakuno has such a cute nib. I also prefer Japanese nibs in general. The Japanese medium is really medium-fine, which is perfect for my Hobonichi Cousin. Both the Kaweco and the Pilot Kakuno have excellent ink flow.
I think there's still an Amazon deal on the Kakunos - 3 for $20. I got two Pilot Penmanships on Amazon, $17 for two, each with two con40 converters and 2 cartridges. Extra fine nibs, I love them. Also got 3 Pilot Prera Iro Ais for $12 each, each came w/ a con40 and a cartridge - just keep an eye out.

How much ink does the Perkeo and the Classic take compared to the Safari?
The Pilot Kakuno can take the high ink capacity Con 70 converter.
