  • This is the last session of day two with Fun Track Dayz on July 23rd, 2023.
    I'm riding a 2017 Ducati Monster 1200S with a Termignoni slip-on and 1098R Marchesini forged wheels with Dunlop Q4s.
The first few laps, we're following my friend Joaquin on a BMW S1000R, checking out how he's riding after just moving up to Intermediate. The rest of the laps are purely me having a good time after riding hard for two days straight. No lap time hunting, just relaxed and ripping some swoopy lines, enjoying my favorite bike at my favorite track on the planet.
I came in one lap early because I cooked my rear tire going up the hill (watch for the TC light).
This very well be my favorite session of all time. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you to ‪@sosocycles‬ for being rad enough to let Joaquin and I do this for work.

Great video, it must be incredible to ride on this legendary circuit. I have the same bike as you but in red. Besides, I didn't know that there was a black Olhins steering damper. Do you have the reference for this one please? Hello from France ✌️😎

Hey! It was absolutely incredible. Laguna is a joy to ride. And the Ohlins damper is a CNC Racing kit with the "Blackline" steering damper. A few dollars more than silver, but I think it was worth it.

That's my favorite track as well. Never got to try it on a bike. Looks like they've spent some money on fresh tarmac!
Is the corkscrew easier on a motorcycle? It looks like you have a lot more freedom on the exit. Smooth AF.
Edit: Just watched lap 3 again and it's definitely way different on a bike. You'r already transitioning to the right at about the same time I'm still decelerating to try to get some bite just so I CAN turn at all. Then your transition from the right turn (8a) to the left (Rainey) is almost a non-event. Looks great!

Thank you!! I'm still really new to this track and I fully admit that my main familiarity with it is from Forza Motorsport on Xbox. And I've never driven the track, but the corkscrew, done right, is glorious on something only about as wide as a human. You have a LOT more freedom almost everywhere on track.

@@taylorwlaird I only got an afternoon on it over ten years ago, sadly. It was the bane of my existence in Gran Turismo before I learned any real basics like weight transfer and pre-loading. Been there maybe five times as a spectator, though. I'm jealous as hell!
