Love your neighbor! Speak the truth and understand that constructive criticism is not judging others. Christians offer the foundation of Christ so they can reconstruct themselves with the truth of the Bible.

I listened to this a couple of days ago and it truly impacted me. I had never listened to Eric Metaxas before, but he said many things that I felt deep down in my core. "When you know something you live differently." Once you know better you have to choose whether or not to keep doing the same thing or to start choosing different. "Your life shows what you really believe."

Oh find every message he has out there and share it. The churches I go to and those in Indianapolis are so weak and passive. I keep looking for a brave preacher. Eric is so spot on. Only preaching on the salvation is great but with no bones to back it up is watered down make me feel good messages. People need to speak up.

Just listened to this for the third time in about 3 months. It is a great pep-talk for me as I and others continue to speak at our local school board meetings and engage the wicked nonsense with wisdom. Lord, increase Your supernatural work in our midst and keep our hearts and our wills in alignment with Your way. Thank you again, Mr. Metaxes!

Awaken all the Pastors, all those You have chosen to shepherd Your flocks, that they will all rise up, stand up, and lead their flocks into this fight against wickedness, against evil, against gender fluidity, against blasphemous acts against our faith, our God, our Savior. After stepping away from the grace alone mindset, I decided to read the NT again. Words like OBEY, ENDURE, and BE USEFUL were everywhere. Grace alone, faith alone made Christians soft and stagnant.. and that’s what was being taught in 2000-now when I was growing up in church. I can say it made my family divorce because my parents didn’t obey and endure hardships, but became soft in a stagnant “christian” marriage. They didn’t learn to treat their marriage like how Christ loved the Church. Just Grace alone and became stagnant. No growing, no forgiving and no love

    • @jayknudsen8557

      Sooooo Absolutely 💯 True!

    • @bobtriezenberg4255
      @bobtriezenberg4255 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Just because some people get stagnate and lazy doesn't invalidate what the Bible says about salvation. Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works, lest anyone should boast- sound familiar? Ephesians 2:8-9
That is the message of salvation as it can be found in no one else but Christ (Acts 4:12) If we could save ourselves, Christ wouldn't have done what He did. He became a complete substitute because we were completely unable to do it ourselves.
You are wrong. Plain and simple- wrong. To say salvation is by anything other than by grace is heresy. The Bible says that salvation is a gift from God...gifts by their very nature are free. Not costly, not cheap, not even very cheap. Gifts are free-- that means no cost at all to the recipient.
This is something that can't be compromised on. If you are depending on anything (your works) other than Christ, you will never get to heaven because your works are as filthy rags to God. The only way is by putting faith in the fact that salvation is free and God's grace is the sole source of our salvation.
If you've read the New Testament like you say, you would know this because it is a common theme throughout.
You're free to think whatever you want to, but don't teach others your unBiblical error.

    • @austinwelch2315
      @austinwelch2315 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@@bobtriezenberg4255 ??? Never said works bring salvation, if anything I implied a working faith- To ACT rather than just believing by acknowledging God exists. If you believe in God but do not ACT on his word then your faith is dead (should read James more Bible thumper). Christ's work in salvation gave us the license to act from rather that towards. Protestants overact to word "work" and close their ears while echoing "alone, alone, alone" I say this as a non-catholic.

@@bobtriezenberg4255 P.S. Read the scriptures and not the verse. Do you a lot of good. I recommend the Gospels as Christ says a whole lot of working, enduring and obeying. Can't just stop at grace, that's just the invitation, the start, now what are you going to do with it? Act

I have heard faith alone saves, but faith that saves is NEVER ALONE. Works do not save, but saving faith WILL PRODUCE WORKS.

  • @kevingeorge1095
    @kevingeorge1095 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The words "by faith" are misleading. The Greek often says, "ek pistis," where the "ek" means "out of" or "out from." “Ek” is the opposite of the word “eis” which means “into.” In other words, righteousness, and hence justification (setting right that which was wrong), comes out from, or out of faith, as a product of faith. This means that genuine faith produces righteousness because it is a FUNCTIONAL faith. This faith is not a neutral intellectual belief, it is operational, active, and productive, causing a change from unrighteous living to righteous living. By this a person is justified - set right from a previous state of living wrong.
It is amazing to hear some Bible teachers say things like, “Theology affects the way we live” and “You mostly live according to the theology you believe”, and yet these same teachers speak of “salvation by faith” as if faith as something that happens external to you and has no required byproduct of righteous living.
"By faith" is often understood as nearly a passive idea, where we are made to have faith and God does something called "justification," a legal arrangement or accounting act on His end. That is not what is intended by "ek pistis." Teachers of Reformed Theology and Penal Substitutionary Atonement have a problem with active, functional faith because they typically see this as works. To avoid this, the weaker translation is used, changing “out from faith” to “by faith.”
    "Ek pistis" or "ek pisteo" is in Romans 1:17, 3:30, 4:16, 5:1, 9:30,32, 10:6, Gal. 2:16,3:7,11, Heb. 10:38, James 2:24.
These all show that faith is presumed to be active - affecting the mind, will, emotions, and actions of the believer.
There are passages that do say “by faith,” which is “dia pisteo,” but “dia” means "through,” so faith in these cases is still an active mechanism, not a passive idea.
Peter states it well in Acts 15:9, “…having cleansed their hearts by faith.” In this case the “by faith” is “te pistei”, which is simply “the faith,” making the phrase say that faith is the active thing that cleansed their hearts. Faith is not some external property like a salve or clothing that has no internal effect on the person. The single exception is found in the example of James 2:17-20 where demons have inactive faith, a dead faith that produces nothing.

What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word.
Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary.
What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below.
    New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

What is POPULAR is not always right,
What is RIGHT is not always popular.
If we SUFFER we shall also reign with Christ Jesus. But if we deny him to be men pleasers, Jesus also will deny us. If we say we love Jesus but our actions do not, it is obvious to all that our inactions Speak LOUDER than our love for what he did for us. He did not use inaction to save us from our seperation from God. But endured the cross, suffered being forsaken of God to die for us and in graditude for what he did for us we become like the nine lepers that got healed and went on their way…only one of the ten lepers healed of his leoprosy truly loved the Lord Jesus for healing him and returned to worship Jesus .
So many took the Jabb but few which stood their ground in Christ not to save their own life to lose it. But willing to lose their life for the sake of Christ. Danial and his companions were delivered to be executed in the firey furnace for not obeying the law of the land to worship the engraven image of the king. I love what one who trusted God said to the king , we know our God shall deliver us but even if he does not deliver us, we shall not bow down and worship. And they were ordered to be cast into the furnace and their fetters burned away as they rejoiced and among these three was seen a fourth man? And these three God delivered unsinged from the furnace, having no smell of smoke or evidence of burns on their flesh.
But even if God does not deliver us, we shall not bow down and worship.
How many of us will take the jabb instead of take a stand against extortioners? Is our job to die for?
Yhose which took the jabb and succeeded in obtaining a real I.D. Are dropping dead. Found with a long thick dark red mucus
blocking an artery from their heart? Was it the jabb?
How many more will die? But not from covid? We are commanded to follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which, no man shall see the Lord.
But what kind of peace and holiness? One that places light under a bushel?

What Eric is saying, is that your life is an outward show of an inward change. This means that you don't continue in the sins of your past before Christ but you repent...which means to turn from the way you have been doing things to do them according to His will.

Ecclesia was not a religious word. It was a secular word belonging to public life. So, when Jesus told Peter that He was building an ecclesia, the New Adam who reset the human race was extending that reset to His community of believers who are to actualize it in the public square. The Kingdom is at hand; always advancing.

A true Christian believer is a citizen of heaven not of this earth and we are mandated to share the gospel of Christ that we may all dwell one day to the place that Jesus told us. Jesus time was under Roman oppression but He never say anything political against the Romans instead He said “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's” (Matthew 22:21 NASB). and “Jesus said, 'My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my servants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from here'” (John 18:36). I am surprised Calvary let this man speak in the pulpit. I don't think Chuck Smith will let this happen in his time. He preached about this in the parable of the mustard seed Mat 13:32 "Though [a mustard seed] is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches."

Pay attention as will I my Christian Brother as we are in the Year of 2024, and review the below GOSPEL Scripture please about what part of History we are currently in. Some of the Politicians in America are not real Americans they are Traitors, Serpents, and they are linked to our enemy the Anti-Christ who all Christian Believers are at WAR with.
As you know thankfully The Holy Father, who is The Ruler of Heaven and Earth, did raise our Boss and Master The Holy LORD Jesus Christ from the Dead and The Messiah is Risen.
Christ on a White Horse as it States in the New Testament scripture below says as follows in Revelation 19:11-16
"11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

I see people complaining about the message and the message giver. This message is no different than that of Esther which he quoted. The same message of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednago. There were some letters written to some churches too, one citing the lukewarm church in particular this mirrors. Your loyalty isn't to a country or a king or a president. Your loyalty is to God almighty. If you fear to speak out, if you fear to take a stand and just want to remain silent you are lukewarm. You've been giving lipservice. If this doesn't fit your faith maybe do some reading and analyze what you believe. Maybe reread your Bible. Maybe read Return of the Gods by Jonathan Cahn and take a look at whats happening in America. Its time to stand now. Christ told us all, you will be persecuted for my sake. You're either on board or you're not. Satan is not the equal of God. Never was. Never will be.

I mean I'm not very far into it but I'd like to point out something. Evangelism is preaching the gospel. The gospel is Jesus, him, how he lived, what he did, his kingdom. Jesus is the good news. So to say Jesus is more important than Jesus (the gospel), and Jesus being proclaimed (the thing he tasked us with) in all the earth so that he gets what he is worthy of, just seems like a strange thing to say. At least to me. Idk.

One hundred fifty years later the prophet Isaiah reminded them of this fact and they expressed their appreciation by sawing the prophet in half.

Good works are what you a saved to. Out of faith should come good works. The context of James has nothing to do with Luther’s declaration of faith. Luther speaks of salvation but James speaks of actions after coming to faith. Jesus showed his faith by his actions. We should do no less.
