Anyone got a list for these traits that can be lost? Extremely underweight is practically a go too for me. Find a tub of margarine. Few sweets and within a week you've practically lost it.
@@brentonherbert7775one you can take off the top of my head is short sighted, completely negated by wearing glasses which you have access to in the survivor creation screen so it's effectively free points.
@@dravenpelkey2606 Yeah but given how often you can lose them- and how its still extra weight even small is still a downside compared to something like say "eat more when food is plentiful" which you should be doing anyway.
I just finished your 100 days video; I loved watching it and I learnt a lot from it as a newbie to zomboid. I look forward to watching the new video ^^
Something he did but i dont think he mentioned, is leveling up carpentry to level 4 sooner rather than later, water catchers are so useful and fences and doors, just please level it up.
A lot of similarities to how I did my first run as a newbie in the game. Currently have a Riverside run with normal difficulty with harder settings. Pretty fun as I look back those good old rosewood days
All my first runs were in Muldraugh and West Point and were very short lived, so I'm most comfortable and nostalgic there. I've never really spawned in Rosewood or Riverside, only stopped by for loot.
When I first started this game I couldn’t fight a singe zombie. now I can fight a fair few zombies but I get a single scratch, then a fever and then I die. I don’t know what to do since even disinfecting the wound and resting does nothing
On sandbox settings you can tweak the transmission of the virus. If you want to only get zombified through bite then I’d select “saliva only” bc I find it annoying when I lose my characters to scratches
I listened to Immortal - All Shall Fall, the first that came up. I liked the instrumental but the lyrics weren't my thing. What were your recommendations again?
Nice to see you do a vid like this Alex. I recently pushed through the learning curve (mainly in part due to your amazing 100 days video finally making me go YES i will ENDURE to GET GOOD) but this is still nice to see and hope we will get more stuff like this soon cus even just watching what players like you do is good for learning. I will ask a question if i though may cus maybe you might know. The traits that you can "gain and lose" do you get the bonuses from them as well if you gain them in game? Using athletic for an example. "+4 Fitness. +20% running/sprinting speed . -20% running/sprinting endurance loss" it needs 9 fitness from memory to obtain so i doubt it gives you +4... but DOES it give you the the other bonuses? Or are those ONLY obtainable if it is taken in character creation? Hope to see more uploads from you in the future. (and ill leave this here cus hopefully it will be more likely to be seen) But god damn that 100 days was way better of a watch than anything on TV these days. Way better than rings for power (and iv not even watched that... but i have watched your video!) Hoping to see more soon keep up the good work.
people say rosewood is relax but they increase zombie population? i just started and in Muldraugh i never really saw zombies but rosewood i would get swarmed before i even got down the street.
@Jmg910 New vid just for you in about 10mins 😘Should be members only for a day or two and I hope you enjoy! Turns out I don't know what I'm doing and I accidentally released it, we'll get it next time.
How I survive the first week is I spawn in Rosewood with one character and lure all the zombies away from the fire station then die and go to the fire station with a now character. It's kinda cheating but idk
I've had that vid on my watch later for a bit, but I've watched some. Die lol. I am good at kiting the dead but I've never had to lead them off of a roof before, so I'd struggle with that approach. Fire would be my next thought, something I quite like, but it's too dangerous as you can't leave. Let alone my poor PC for the sheer quantity. How would you approach it?
If a trait can be lost in any way, its worth.
Hard agree, unless your struggling early game then I'd dump everything into fitness and then strength.

cheap positive traits that give you +1 to sneak, nimble, and light-footed are a must. Always take wakefulness, it feels like cheating sometimes.
Love me some wakefulness. I didn't realise modifiers are busted, but after figuring that out I refuse to play without a nimble one.

Your videos are top notch. Genuinely hope your 100 days videos brings you wider success. Excellent!
molotovs can be a godsent when you are in a really hairy situation
I love fire, but I feel like if I got a bunch of new players to try it out there would be too much blood (and lost buildings/loot) on my hands.

super useful thanks
the best zomboid tip i ever got was to use Molotovs, so broken for clearing hoards
Great video brotha !!!

Also there’s near sighted for free points sure not much but all you have to do is always wear glasses
mod packs are very nice too take full advantage of the workshop you can make the game anything you want it to be
