You are the first person I have seen whose videos are reeeeeally easy to understand and very helpful. Thank you very much for your detailed instructions)
I have been doing makeup for a long time. I'm almost 36 🙈 Lol! But I can't use setting powder because it makes my skin look awful. 😕 It will make it look like crepe paper... Which is NOT how I wanna look!! 😂 So I skip that step. I don't use foundation anymore. I just use a concealer that matches my skin best. I use Nyx. I just do under my eyes, around my nose, chin, and that's about it. I blend it outward, then I'll do my bronzer, blush, and such. It looks much more natural than using a foundation. Also, concealer on any acne. Which I rarely have any.
I too don't use powder bcz I have dry skin and yes I use moisturizer and primer still powder makes lines more prominent so I skip it. I don't use bronzer, just blush (tbh I am also kinda scared of bronzer bcz I am a brown girl with very yellow skin and I feel like bronzer will do sth weird).I use light blush and sometimes I just use my pink lipstick as blush and then use CC cream over it. @@caitlinmyriah7657
Thank you for this. Love your tutorials. I am turning 61 in a week and have noticed age spots within the last 5 years. Starting to use concealer and foundation after not using any makeup for 35 years to cover up my spots and dark circles.
Almost 40 here and am just now considering using makeup lol. I did not realize how much stuff has to go on the face. Please keep making theses videos because you are changing my life lady! Blessings to you and everyone here❤
Have fun with makeup, but as you experiment you may decide that not all of that needs to be used every time. I usually only use a pore filling primer, concealer and a powder, or powder foundation. My cheeks are naturally red so I may use nothing else, or I may do blush or bronzer - rarely both. And I never use setting spray. So you will see what works for you!
Darling, you don’t have to use all of these products. Sunscreen, moisturizer, concealer, pressed powder, blush and maybe mascara. It all depends on your skin. I use my lipstick as a blush . She is a make up influencer, of course she uses all this stuff, but if u are a regular person that don’t use that may h make up, start small. Keep it real and practical! Otherwise you will end up with tons of unused make up. Good luck
Seriously, thank you so much. I’m 35 and have been wearing some kind of makeup since I was like 14, but it was always tinted moisturizer or BB creams. Full face makeup was only ever worn for theater or dance performances and that was HEAVY and exaggerated. Your channel has helped me see that makeup can look well done but not overdone. I truly hope you continue in this field because you’re a great teacher!
You always help me I’m 54 and if I want to know something about make up I go straight to your videos. No nonsense not trying to sell me anything just excellent advice and I am always complemented on my make up because of you 🎉 😊 Thank you
i’ve grown pretty proficient with makeup in the last few years, however, there are things that I need to go back and refresh in my mind. I’ve noticed that your page has shifted more to actual helpful guides and tips to help beginners and to even better advance your preexisting makeup routine. i love your content and approach to makeup and advice.
Glad I found you! Always been a natural, beginning on my makeup journey. Straight to the point, brief explanation no BS ! Easy and helpful thank you for all your detailed instructions very much appreciated ❤
This is the best step by step basic make up i found for begginer! Simple and easy to understand with explaination of what the use of the product! .. I love it by the way I'm 40 and still new using make up.
I was an avid make up user in my teens-early 20s, and I'm just now getting back into it at 28. So, not a complete beginner, but some of your tips are still soo helpful because so many products/formulas have changed and therefore so has their application. I also thank you for including modern makeup trends for us that are a lil out of the loop. You're so humble and down to earth. I wish you all the success in life 🫶🏻 we need more social media creators like yourself 👑
Have you done a video on what brushes to use for what kinds of makeup? I never know what brushes to use for my foundation or what brushes to use for the setting powder. I always get creases under my eyes. I would love a tutorial on basics for blending brushes and face brushes in general 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
You're like the big sister I've never had 😭 Your videos for beginners are soo easy to follow through especially bc you're not using bunch of products which really makes us feel overwhelmed LIKE WE JUST WANNA START SMALL AND THENNN IF WE WANT WORK OUR WAY UP
HOLY LORD. I swear to you, this is the first makeup video that ACTUALLY helped me understand. @-@;; For the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. I have been watching "beginner" tutorials for awhile and a lot of those videos are NOT actually beginner friendly. Not when they use words like blending and definition? I have no idea what those even remotely mean. As if I would just inherently know. I just want to add that I never make comments on TH-cam. But this video just changed my life. I'm 32, raised by abusive parents, grew up dressing like a boy to protect myself from being targeted as a girl, and just generally haven't been able to feel like I could even TRY to be pretty. Like I feel this overwhelming invisible pressure that I can't have the audacity to try to look good. Some of it is my trauma that I'm working to heal and some of it is my boyfriend always telling me you're beautiful without makeup anytime I wanted to try (I appreciate the comment, but it made me feel bad for even wanting to learn makeup. As if I was somehow fake for wanting to learn. But I just think its so pretty and have always been interested, I just never had anyone to teach me. I'm the oldest of my siblings.) I genuinely feel SO inept starting makeup at my age. BUT. I want to learn before all of my youngness is gone and I never get a chance to enjoy it. Thank you so much for this simple explanation, that I kid you not, I could not find anywhere and didn't know how to even word my question about what I didn't know. Maybe my comment or my view doesn't mean much to you, but you have made a difference to me, and I won't ever forget it. Thank you, for making this accessible to someone traumatized like me. ;v;
Sending lots of love ❤ Finding new and different ways to see yourself after feeling like you had to hide or suppress that part of yourself is very liberating, even if it feels scary sometimes! Glad you're enjoying the process!
Sending love and well wishes ❤ Take care... it took me long to outwardly do skincare or any makeup as i too had gone through similar things.. but even tho i can dress "cool" or "cute" and "pretty"... (TW slight) i still feel very off to put on anything that could make me sexually attractive, even though inwardly id love to.. anything as soon as it becomes body-cony makes me creep out and gives me chills... it's so scary idk maybe because of csa ptsd Take care ❤
A Yes I’m 49 I need that advise⭐️⭐️ I love how down to earth your approach is well done . Stay humble and keep It real always that’s your super power 🤩
Thank you very much. I’ve wanted to start doing makeup but I feel embarrassed asking my friends, who know that I don’t care about my appearance . I have a sister but she would make fun of me. You making this video is so helpful to get me started. Thank you 🙏 ❤
In my 30s and trying to restart doing make up since I stopped 5 years ago, so I got an advent calendar to get a range of starting products and look for easy “modern” tutorials. Thank you very much 🥰
Now this is a basic make up video that is doable for me! ❤I’m a 42 year old mom and I’m wondering if this works on more mature skin. I’m also looking for eye make up for women over 40 since aging left me with hooded eyes. Any and all tips are super welcome! 🙏
Even tho I’ve been doing my makeup on the reg since I was like 12 (now 16) I still love watching beginner outlines/instructions bc tbh the validation that I can do at least this one thing right is really nice.
i’m not a beginner in makeup and think i have a rather complex routine at times but this is a wonderful video! it’s actually in depth and explains things to beginners, you are a wonderful teacher! your makeup looks wonderful
I am 50 and never worn makeup. I am a Mom of 14, grandma to 17! I've been married to my wonderful husband for 34 years! Our anniversary is coming up soon, and we've not been on a date since we had the twins 2 years ago and now have an 8 month old as well. We're going out for our anniversary, and I'd like to fix myself up a little before going out. Thanks for helping me understand makeup better.
Thank you! So easy. I am returning back to makeup in my 40s and I just want easy and simple. A friend made fun of me for having a 90s makeup routine. We didn't have these items back then.
I'm doing makeup for the first time ever, I've only ever done mascara and lipgloss up to now which is usually the natural progression of things, but I just had no idea what to do, thank you for this video!
Sweetie you are a heaven sent. Im 36 and i never used make up never felt the need for it. Just a quick lipsick and out i went but now i feel when everyone does such amazing eye makeup and im pretty much there nacked faced 😂 Love this series plz keep it going ❤
You definitely help me out. You're one of the only influencers that I trust when it comes to makeup. I do, however, need a tutorial for beginners when it comes to eyeshadow. I like the three colored look with adding a shimmer in the middle. I just haven't been able to get it done the way I like. And I do have hooded eyes. If you could show me a tutorial that you've done in the past about this or come up with a new one I'd really appreciate it. Thank you

I love how we’re not so heavy on the contour anymore. It was such a harsh look that only looked good on camera, but terrible irl. I barely use contour anymore, unless I’m doing full glam, but it’s so much lighter than before. For a day at work I just use tinted moisturiser, blush, brows & eye makeup, finished with gloss & maybe some soft highlight.. and it’s such a pretty natural look.
Thank you so much for this. Saving this on my "Skincare" playlist. 40 years old here and for many years I didn't know how. I am so confused with all the products. I agree with your comment. I'm 55 and trying to keep up with the times but it's hard because there's a lot of products nowadays 😂.
I’m 61 and back to makeup after about 25 years. Things are so different now.
Thank you for this. Love your tutorials. I am turning 61 in a week and have noticed age spots within the last 5 years. Starting to use concealer and foundation after not using any makeup for 35 years to cover up my spots and dark circles.
