We are not against Amir Khan or spreading negativity we are just slightly disappointed from Amir Khan BECAUSE the actual acting we use to love about is missing. As AK acting fan I expected that atleast he stand himself high with TOM HANKS acting we all have seen forest gump and we know the standard set by Tom Hanks is high very very high but Amir didn't really full justify his role WHICH IS INSPIRED by Tom Hanks MOVIE. And that's what is disappointing

Being it's an adaptation of an iconic Hollywood movie, their reactions and comments for the LSC movie are so positive and here we are judging the movie by comparing it with the original and posting to boycott the movie for no reason. It's prolly not because of that, when international movies are remade or our movies are remade internationally, there is a culture change which creates a different perspective of presenting and narrating the story but when it's amongst your own regions, the story isn't really altered much, it's just a filter down worse version in a different language. I'll give you an example, jigarthanda was a tamil adaptation of some Korean or Japanese movie I think but I saw both and noticed alot of changes, they were different movies in their own right, jigarthanda was a slightly dark humor movie and the original was a very serious one but then I saw jigarthanda's filter down copy called bacchan pandey and boy it was a disaster, a movie which couldn't be saved by the presence of neither pankaj nor akshay. Its not just for bollywood but the reverse is true as well. If a remake presents itself differently and alters itself instead of being a carbon copy of the original, people won't have much problem with remakes.

However my only qualm is Amir's Punjabi accent sounds like a stereotypical 'Balle Balle Shava Shava' goofy Sardar accent instead of sounding genuine. Forrest Gump is such a famous movie all over the world. Amir Khan himself has a great following worldwide. There aren't that many good films coming out of India. Amir Khan, with the likes of Kamal Haasan are one of the few filmmakers who contribute original stories in India. And he makes like 1 movie in 3 or more years. And he is already in his 50s. So spending three years on a remake that is already widely seen and recognized worldwide is a total waste of time for Amir and for Indian film scene on the whole. I wish he had spent this time on making a never before seen original script that would put Indian cinema on the global map as he had done with 3 idiots, PK, and Dangal. Remaking a western movie to indian sensibilities if something anyone can do, and didn't warrant Amir Khan's talents when he is needed for a superior purpose filmmaking wise.

I watched Forrest Gump like 5-6 years ago, I liked the film But it's different when you grow up watching something (The reason why we were to mad a school bhulaiya remake) The reaction is so sweet. I absolutely loved this idea Jaby!! If a remake is well made it takes a great movie to an even wider audience and thats awesome!!
However my only qualm is Amir's Punjabi accent sounds like a stereotypical 'Balle Balle Shava Shava' goofy Sardar accent instead of sounding genuine. My only concern is that they dont ruin that aspect. Obviously that is an intricacy you and your friends wont notice because of linguistic limitations. But its very heartwarming to see how open they are to seeing this!! 🥰 And dont bother abt those who say your reactions are staged or whatever. There are many like us who follow you because you are genuine and we trust that.
Dude the original has American history and the actress in nudes n partial sexual activity how can we Indians accept that without Indian history and nudes to Actress here. We have to change few concepts as per our respective version. It is exactly the same as it was accept few.
Brother he has to keep the language as it is so that the wider hindi audience can understand not the hardcore punjabi

Forrest Gump is such a famous movie all over the world. Amir Khan himself has a great following worldwide. There aren't that many good films coming out of India. Amir Khan, with the likes of Kamal Haasan are one of the few filmmakers who contribute original stories in India. And he makes like 1 movie in 3 or more years. And he is already in his 50s. So spending three years on a remake that is already widely seen and recognized worldwide is a total waste of time for Amir and for Indian film scene on the whole. I wish he had spent this time on making a never before seen original script that would put Indian cinema on the global map as he had done with 3 idiots, PK, and Dangal. Remaking a western movie to indian sensibilities if something anyone can do, and didn't warrant Amir Khan's talents when he is needed for a superior purpose filmmaking wise.

I am very sad as well coz all the criticism & hate Aamir is getting is from his own country from a group of wanna be intellectuals who are comparing with the original & trolling the film.
