Almost 60k live in her city. Might not be New York City, but that's enough people to make getting higher end ingredients easy. I live in a 20k city, and I have to order anything not pretty common online, like ground Aleppo peppers.(absolutely amazing peppers BTW)

Just look at the joy in the chef's eyes when she's doing her thing and imagine what could have been lost if she would have gutted it out as an engineer.
An engineer's work may not be as accessible to understand, but trust me there is plenty of craftsmanship and creative joy in sophisticated engineering work. Of course, if they did their job right you'll never even know they were there.

I think its funny how every place he visits, the ppl all set plates out and yell the name... Very few places do that, so i guess they just set it up for the show. Not knocking it, i just find it funny that they do it in every episode 😃
