I once drove 18 hrs straight after working a 12 hr shift just to go see my ex in Denver. As tired as I was and how she wanted me to sleep and rest, I told her I wanted to spend every waking moment with her. I eventually fell asleep at her feet while I was massaging them later on that night after spending the entire morning/day with her. I played this for her on my way home and I couldn’t stress enough that is what I was feeling when I was with her and when he says “I don’t wanna sleep, I just wanna keep on loving you” that always puts tears in my eyes and still does. I am in a long distance relationship which is sweet and difficult at times. This song reminds me of the person and all the nights we stay up talking on a video call where both of us know we need to sleep but we do not. Saw CAS live for the first time some 10 days ago and this song gave me the best emotions ever.
I met my wife in high school. We tried making a long distance relationship work. It took us 2 years until we could move in with each other and not be apart. That was over 30 years ago. We have been married for 28 happy years now and have two gorgeous daughters. I'm sitting here listening to this song while she works on her tablet. I still think she is so beautiful and amazing. I cannot believe that I am so lucky to have spent my life with her. My point is... this song is so good and sometimes long distance relationship pay off.
