BenDeen, Dakgalbi is actually my FAVORITE Korean dish to get here in Texas! We are fortunate enough to still have a restaurant named Seoul Korean Cuisine. Dakgalbi is what opened up my love for Korean food! I actually bought this to eat on Thursday! I was addicted whenever I was pregnant with my son and the years after, even still!
I gotta get to working on my bucket list and have Dakgalbi in South Korea one day!

Hey BenDeen, you had food from Kangnam Pocha in Covent Garden, the food there is absolutely amazing! I'm glad you enjoyed and clean the plates eating your favourite Korean meals. My favourite Korean foods from Kangnam Pocha are Jajang Myeon, Kimchi fried rice topped with a fried egg, Kimchi pancake and the seafood pancake, Pork Deopbab and Soy Yang Yeum Chicken and Pork Deopbab, they are all extremely tasty. There are hot plates burners in the middle of the tables to cook and heat up food.
Another Korean restaurant you can try is Daebak in Kennington the Beef Bibimbap, Korean Fried Chicen and Fried Chips with Cheese Powder is out of this world. Eating in at Kangnam Pocha and Daebak has a good atmosphere. It's been great having you here in the UK BenDeen loved watching you trying all the British foods, come back again very soon🙂

    Well, you got me salivating...
I used to travel a lot to Korea for business, through the 90's into the 00's. My Korean hosts would always think I wanted Korean BBQ when taking me to dinner. Wrong! I wanted Dak Kalbi, Dak Dori Tang and KimChi Gighea. They were taken aback because they viewed it as "poor man's food". Ha!
I think I became part Korean as I spent so much time there.
And you are correct...it's all about the second round of fried rice that's prepared once there's about a third to a quarter of round one remaining in the pan. Crunchy rice pieces being the best of course...
Enjoy your videos...keep up the food binges.

Dang, I don't even think a lot of Koreans know about dak dori tang. My mom used to make it for me and I loved it. But now I live in Korea and it's not easy to find. Not to be confused with dak bokkeum tang which is still good but thicker and more flavorful but sometimes the more savory soupy dak dori tang really hits the spot like chicken soup.

I’m with you Ben - as an English person I keep trying Korean takeaways (and other Asian cuisines) and none of them are as spicy as I want. I feel like they think they are trying to appeal to an “English” pallet or something? But NO English person who doesn’t like spicy food would ever be ordering a Korean so I really don’t get the logic here!

The reason it’s more expensive is because it would most likely be a common meal in Korea vs deemed as a special occasional meal elsewhere just like British food is probably cheaper in the uk vs here in America where it’s more expensive
