As I watched you and your husband I can see there is still a lot of love there. What he did to you were wrong and you are doing good all but yourself and your son, but that little boy lives his dad a lot he doesn’t understand what really happen so I am going to give you some helpful advice please don’t show that mean side when he comes to see his son or bring both of you food, it’s going to hurt your son later on in life. Try and help your husband to remain alcohol free because without the alcohol he seems to be a nice man, look at the nice home he built for you guys. Pray to whoever you worship to continue to keep him off the alcohol so you can be together again and raise that little boy to be a great man. You still love him because you tear up always when he comes and leave. Be strong lady and think about the future you works to hard.I can give you this advice because I have been through the same situation now my husband and I sits back enjoying our granddaughter both of us are in our late 60’s and lives like two kids. Don’t show hatred in front of your son he will hold that against you not his dad. Love you and wishing you all the best.

Just a word of advice ,by excepted the food from him well give him more encouragement to continue not to drink ,by you not excepting the food well drive him into drinking again because he well see no need not to drink ,you are not helping him at all by not excepting the food he brings only discouraging him ,so by doing that you don't love him ,and you are doing your son wrong because your son sees what you are doing and well in up taking is dad side when he is older ,and you well have no one to blame but yourself ,is thus what you want .

Why you try and stop him from taking care of his son that’s his responsibility as a father. The problem you and your husband have is between you and him your son has nothing to do with it and you should keep him out of it unless your husband does something directly to your son. Parents should keep their children out of adults relationship business and learn to coparent and try to remain respectful to each other so the child doesn’t feel like it’s their fault and for some reason children seem to blame themselves for what ever stupid decisions there parents make so good luck for your son sake
