The pugilist world is ruled by the powerful Wen clan, which dominates over the smaller Lan, Jiang, Nie and Jin households. The carefree Wei Wuxian becomes fast friends with the righteous Lan Wangji, and during their adventures, the pair find out that the head of the Wen clan is the evil mastermind behind a series of plots that would wreak havoc upon the lands.
Wei Wuxian’s attempts to protect the innocent members of the Wen clan from unfair persecution leads to disaster, and he goes MIA in the process. Wei Wuxian reappears sixteen years later, and works together with good friend Lan Wangji to solve a series of murder mysteries, eventually finding and defeating the true culprit. Based on the Moxiang Tongxiu's novel Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.

The look of understanding and pain was in Lan Zhans eyes. He knows how it is to roam the earth in search of the one you care about hoping that one day you’ll find him! I think some of the reasons why Lan Zhan goes wherevere there is trouble is: 1 he and Wei Ying made a promise that they will help anyone in trouble and uphold justice. 2 he was also searching for Wei Ying, also hoping that he would appear.

Such a great visual parallel here between WY and LZ walking side by side, light and dark, and Song walking away with the two swords, light and dark. WY and LZ are truly lucky to be able to walk side by side.
Edit: To clarify, the parallel of WY and LZ walking when Wen Ning was watching and Song walking with the two swords on his back was what I was referring to, but another poster ppinted out the very last scene of Song walking with the two swords, and then the memory of him walking side by side with XingChen (sp?). This was also amzing. This whole scene - so well done!

I agree. I think he is glad Wei Ying's spirit did not break into pieces the way XingChen's did. I also suspect the only reason it didn't was because Lan Zhan caught him when he fell off the cliff at Nightless City. The only person to reach out his hand to him in the middle of his despair.
