This must be one of the greatest singing performances ever, anywhere. The vocal range he can carry is incredible. Absolutely amazing. I have listened to this more in last 24 hrs than i have listened to the original in last 5 years. I can’t believe i only just found this! How did this guy not break internet 6 years ago is beyond me.

Now it's 7 years and it currently has 5 million views later and I still come back to this audition and think to myself, "why is he NOT in someone else's top ten best performances?" I mean seriously! What the Hell?!? Judging by all the coaches reactions... Everybody else in that years competition was battling for 2nd place. And that turned out to be prophecy.
When you make seasoned musicians abandon their star status to walk up to YOUR stage and make em feel like they're watching a gig instead of just sit there and judge... man, that is the highest form of compliment any (aspiring) artist could ever get. This usually happens for music legends, not unknowns like Andreas Kummert. what a performer.

And the judges' reaction is touching as well. They actually took the time to enjoy the performance and soak in the pure talent in front of them...

HOWEVER, what we are seeing and hearing right here is...the true voice, the true soul, the true heart of Andreas. He is singing it how he feels it flowing through him. THIS is true-raw-emotion singing right here. I will fly anywhere he performs if he ever comes to the states. Damn, we need more singers like this. I remember growing up how several of us would sit around and see who could guess the artist or band of the next song the fastest. Today, too many sound the same. None of the German judges have that "I'm a judge, I'm so big, I'm so powerful, I'm above everyone else" attitude that most other judges of other variants of this show sadly has.
