I love velvet! That midnight blue pants and blazer look is gorgeous 😍 I wear a lot of cardigans, crew and v-neck all through the year. Top tip, switch out the buttons on a plain cardigan you already have for ones with festive bling or pearls and presto you have a special cardigan to see you through the festive season! Switch them back in January and you have your plain cardi back. Even just changing the top button can make such a difference! I often do it to blazers too! Buttons can be relatively inexpensive and over the years I've collected quite a few in different sizes so I get a lot of versatility from my classic, plain items!

Then I figured out I could do the same with festive buttons to make it extra special. I always keep the original buttons and put them back on before donating/selling, that way I keep the buttons I like and just re-use them over and over again. Thrifted vintage buttons can be super cool too!

Fashion is my passion! I order ed the sequin skirt in gold but I hope it fits because the sales person said it ran large and I sized down. I plan to wear it to a holiday party with a cashmere sweater in red and red suede slingbacks from Talbots past. Can’t wait for plaid because I have quite a collection. It’s the Scot in me.
I ordered the black watch velveteen pants and embellished sweater from Talbots and they arrived today - they are BEAUTIFUL! I'm so excited to wear to a work holiday function and to an evening candlelight carol service. Absolutely perfect!

I recently purchased their sequin striped turtle neck sweater and I absolutely love it. They show this sweater paired with their plaid tartan pants, so I am excited to try that look. I also have a pair of their black wide velvet pants that I purchased last year. Thanks for your styling inspiration as always.

We have a blast. I snapped up that sequin skirt when they had a 40% off sale. Since it was my birthday month I got an extra 10% off, score! It is a gorgeous skirt. Can't wait to wear it on New Years Eve! I agree with the comment about dressing up a bit f you want, especially during the holiday season. Nothing wrong with being little "extra". I have them done every 20 days or so. It’s just become a necessity since I’m shooting videos or photos most every day.
Walmart has a sweater with a silver bow on the front. Don't remember the brand - probably Free Assembly, Scoop or No Boundaries.
Regarding dressy footwear with a silver sequinned top and navy pants, what other options can you suggest besides silver shoes?
I’d go with black pumps or flats if appropriate.
