I'm actually sitting in a dark room when writing my lyrics, so that when I try to spit 'em, I do need to memories small bits of it. I came across this way of doing it 'round a week ago, and i've been writing for 3 years now, i think everyone should atleast just try it. :) good video tho

I thought you were about to say "I write lyrics in a dark room so I can tell if I'm writing fire"

I think it’s easier when you realize you have to memorize what you write unless you’re going to always freestyle or always keep a pen and pad (which can backfire if you aren’t prepared). Also people came to here you rap, not read from a piece of paper. So perform us dawg we came to see you

    Simple Strategy to rap:
#1 Find the emotion of the beat - What is the emotion? dark, light, happy, sad? You need to know, how to match this emotion, it predicts what your delivery is about to be.
#2: Find the topic matter - put down what you want to talk about. You can exaggerate, a bunch and put much detail. Select more specific days, and then angles, for unlimited topic matter. Don`t really want to be more broad in topic matter, try talking about a crazy day, and time.
    #3: Count the beat - 1,2,3,4 for 1/4 notes, 1 an, 2 an, 3 an, 4 an , for 1/8 notes.
Find the rhythm, so you can start phrasing or scatting.
#4: Come up with a phrase that comes up in your head, that suits the beat. You can use this for you rhyme scheme or scat to the beat, finding your flow.
Flow = Cadence and Rhythm. Cadence is just 1/4 notes, 1/8th notes, 1/16 notes and rarely 1/32 notes.
Rhythm = the pattern of pauses and breathing.
#5: Find the bar structure - Where do you land on your rhyme schemes? Which beat? 1,2,3, or 4?
Snares land on 2nd and 4th beat, and kicks normally land 1 or 3 in 4/4 timing.
99% of beats are 4/4 timing.

You are right about the last part about how to mix anf master your sound. The music, beat, and temple that was put together in Blind Fury's tracks were so blane, slow, dry, and boring comparing to him when he freestyle on his own or with a real DJ mixing the beat up for him.

Learn the basics - Master them .
Try Using elements in the beat, like sing out loud, the bass line, or high hats or melody. that`s being in pocket in the beat, that will make you come up with to many flows. Especially in the Chorus.
You turn that element in the beat, and turn it into a flow and lyrics.

I think what mumble rappers do, is that they mumble a bunch of crap into a mic, release their song, then make the lyrics after lmao

    • @userjff182
      @userjff182 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Rona Bryden this is just a sense of a simple or standard format of how aNY beginners can start it, however some people might have some different ways of approach, and some might not go in this order. It's just the matter of how you feel about your lyrics and then get a beat that works comfortably to your rap flows or vice versa.
