He unloaded while he was loaded. Nobody else , who’s actually funny, ever laughed at much at his own jokes; and it was glorious. Glad to see that he’s enjoying that Gerry weird world in LA that they live in.

I love that Seth seems totally comfortable and can let loose. Oftentimes the guests seem to hold their tongues too much and can’t really be themselves. Not Jimmys fault, it just tends to happen in talk shows
He started out doing stand-up in my home town. I saw his movie The Interview, but only because Kim Jong-un hated it. Seth has developed into one of the unfunniest personalities ever. He laughs a lot, but there's nothing infectious about it; it's only because audiences and hosts can't respond with... "well, OK...". They are captives to a social dynamic where a muted response is regarded as the equivalent of looking at your watch. You carry on for 15 to 20 minutes resolutely like you're looking at your friend's photos of their vacation in East Podunk. "Here's me and Barb in the hotel swimming pool... it's got the fattest life-guard you ever saw, _ha ha ha!!_ ... Now look at this one..."
As much as this guy gets labelled as a comedy actor, he's has some serious and great performances. Steve Jobs, The Fablemans, Pam & Tommy. Underrated actor.

Great interview. Seth has some great stories. That "split the check when I'm broke" thing happened to me too.. I told everyone before ordering that I was broke and was fine to order nothing... at the end of the night someone decided I owed an equal portion of the bill even though I only had salad. I fought hard and owed the host HALF of what everyone else paid... and drove it out to him after payday. I'm still angry about it too.
That's a great suggestion but Seth would never accept hosting the Oscars. A requirement for the host is to stroke the big egos of the actors, Seth can't play this kind of game, he is too honest.
I love Seth's suit! I had one 40 years ago! We put patches on the elbows and they were really cool. That suit even made an appearance on "Big Bang Theory". Nice to see him bring back some really cool fashion. He makes it work!

I feel like Seth is in the Hollywood pantheon of unproblematic people you can't help but like, simply by dint of their personalities. Seth, Pedro Pascal, Dolly Parton, Paul Rudd, Kristen Bell, etc etc etc I could go on at length. Some actors are just genuinely likeable people without a scandal to their name (unless in Seth's case you count the whole North Korea incident 😆)
I walked by a bookstore three blocks from his old high school yesterday. The paperback version of Yearbook was sitting in a bin outside the store. Made me smile but the bookstore is not on the map in his book.
