one thing I hate about these videos is that in their “before” which is supposed to be them as ugly. They present themselves with acne and body hair and glasses. What I’m saying is even with acne or body hair or glasses your still beautiful I just feel like they shouldn’t showcase acne and the other stuff as ugly.
Right on the money. Very tired of people associating these features with ugliness, especially as a woman with facial hair and glasses.
or maybe just don't perceive it as ugly but take it like, messy. then the finish part of it would be them after the grooming. ofc acne and body hair is natural, but you might be surprised if i tell you there people out there not bathing for days and still getting on the public transportation. the before part was needed because the point of video like these is to spot the differences displayed

Acne is ugly, is literally infection fluid under your skin... there is nothing pretty about it. And sadly someone who has very bad acne uis ugly where they have it. Doesnt mean they are ugly on the inside.

It is ugly because the other unconsiously perceived it as a biological imbalance on a woman, making them less desirable for mating purposes, which translates as less attractive. So dont be biased, it is as it is we liked it or not. Dont be inclusive just because it sounds cool. There are biological reasons why we do things and why we consider certain things ugly as oppose to others.
I’m glad so many of these don’t focus on looks! When I saw what it was I was thinking back to a similar challenge or trend (whatever) that went around that made it feel like it was bad if you weren’t traditionally beautiful or good at makeup. But seeing the other forms of change these people did has left me genuinely enjoying this trend! ^^

5:44 As someone who used the sewing machine in grade 7, I can say it is very easy to get your finger stuck and pierced by the needle... Too many distractions in the classroom loll, dw it's a simple fix if it doesn't go through your nail.

I sew, I have been since 2011. I don't make a lot of big things like dresses because fabric is expensive and I'm in plus size clothing so I have to buy more fabric than a smaller person. I made my niece a fairy costume for Halloween a few years ago.
