Midstream has always been one of my all time Favorite albums. I use to know all the words to each song. Where ever you are Debbie Boone you made my Teenage Years Happy Ones.
tonite I hooked up my "new" turntable to my stereo, and started digging up the old LPs this was one of them, am amazed at the sound quality after 32 yrs!
Actually this song was first recorded by Julie Monday in 1966 on the Rainbow label, a great song reflective of the times...yet it only barely scratched the Hot 100 chart that summer. Check it out on You Tube. The full title is Come Share the Good Times With Me.
Yet another beautiful piece of work by Ms. Boone. Her talent is truly a gift from the Creator and I am thankful that she has chosen to share that talent with the world. Thank you Izsak for post these wonderful gems for us to enjoy.
To me, "Popularity" is a bunch of nonsense. Debby Boone is a wonderful singer whose singing is filled with love and compassion. Her music is the best and we don't need the terms "popular", "hit music", "famous", or "celebrity to define it.
Beautiful and well done as always by the talent of Ms. Boone. Her talent is truly a God given gift and I'm thankful that she used it well in sharing with the world. Thanks Izsak for sharing the fruits of your collection with us all. It is much appreciated.
Another Debby Boone song that says good things are coming and they'll be here before you know it. Yes, I know its about love. But its also says good times are coming and they'll be here before you know it.
This is a beautiful song. I've listened to other lovely songs by Debby: California, Your Love Broke Through, Hey Everybody, God Knows, A Rock & Roll Song, When The Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes, and more. I love her singing! Any other great music from Miss Boone?
Dragcir4x I was looking at the internet but I could not find any information on Julie Monday. Is the song available in any CD? I really love this song, it has sentimental value to me. Reminding me of the by gone days when the world was simple far from worries and stress.
Thank you very much for sharing this song to us. The last time I heard this song was 30 years ago. Is the song available in CD? I know this song is taken from the film "If Ever I See You Again"
Inspite of the heavy criticisms, I really love "If ever I see you again". I had a VHS an Piano Score, but never the LP. All I can remember, this song had two versions in the film. One sung by a Chorus and Debbie. Did they release all songs or only few in a DVD or LP? I could not find it in the U.S. 😊
I HAD this record, I remember thinking, this could have been a good follow up Record for her, she never really had a major hit song after "You Light up My Life" (that I'm aware of) and this tune should have done a little better on the charts. At least, have to say it was a nice effort.
The composer of this song made an album for Atlantic Records. This is on the album. Although the version here is good, the version by Brooks himself is better. It is a really great love song.
I remember 1979 If ever i see you again ..in Tacloban City @ movie with friends ❤❤❤❤tears goes by remembering now
