- G'day Guys, We ran a poll on instagram asking you if you wanted to see more behind the scenes and what we get up to while out on our outback overland touring trips, from that we had an overwhelming majority ask for us to show some hunting. This is not something we are intending to have regularly on the channel but I thought I would show you guys some father and son time. A big shout out to my buddies who gave us access to this private property.

Awesome little vid Damo.
Father and son making memories together.
Bustin Bacon hunts, doesn’t get much better than that👍
Cheers mate, something different for the channel, sharing a bit of bonding time. 👌🏼
Stumbled across your channel from the kick ass battery vids & then subscribed when I saw this vid in your uploads - Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks mate 👍🏻🍺
Well done to you and the little man. Great to see another bloke educating the next generation real life skills and not cotton wool fake stuff. Hats off to you.
Thanks mate...basic life skills are hunting and gathering. There are endless lessons to be taught from a walk in wilderness
Good clip mate.
Thanks mate, not as thick with boars as your clips but always a good father/son day out teaching my son the ropes.
Great vid Damo. Keeping an ex-Qld'er now in Melb sane when stuck inside for 3 months. Has been too long since I bowled a pig! Good on you (and the mrs! Ha) for getting the young fella out there
Thanks mate, hopefully they let you blokes down that way free soon. Might be time to migrate back to the sunshine state as soon as they open up the gate!!
Awesome video Mate great to see your showing the young fella more kids need to be out like him it’s very important to have skills like that I remember when my dad took me for the first time just for rabbits or the odd fox with the semi auto 22 from Kmart the good old days 👍
Thanks mate. I think it’s important to teach the young that food doesn’t originate from the grocery store...I think it’s also equally important to teach hunting and gathering to all young. UBER won’t deliver where there isn’t phone service 👍🏻
Round The Fire that’s exactly right we can’t be so depending on shops and our phones for things it’s getting out of hand
@@william6815 i agree mate, even the simple stuff like how to read the clouds for rain or even identifying ants behaviour or catching bugs is all great stuff to teach kids. I grew up in the bush followed by 15 year Army career i enjoy walking in the bush.
G'day Damo, and welcome back 😁.
So cool you have your kid with you. Can remember my grandfather taking me out hunting all those year's ago. 👍
Cheers mate! I like time walking in the bush with my son, teaching him life skills, about the environment and responsible land management. 👌🏼
@@RoundTheFire thanks for that video of the repo saw. Went & bought 1 and used it for the first time last weekend. Just gunna need a bigger battery with 12v charger. Was so good to get out as I'm in regional Vic.
@@buster_1972 No worries mate, A buddy of mine came out to camp with one of the new ones and they are great. I normally 'ration' one 5Ah battery per fire. You get a bit more than that out of it. 3 batteries normally last me the weekend without charge. I do like the smaller 2.5Ah ones purely for weight on the tool.
Time well spent with the young bloke mate👍👍. Something you can't put a price on👌
I absolutely agree.
I had a very long career in the Army and missed a lot of the early days.
@@RoundTheFire I am sure you will find the time to catch up. They grow up fast
What rifle is that? Looks awesome. Great little vid.
Hey Jase, Im running a Remington 700 SPS Tactical, 16.5" barrel, 308. Ive added the 10 shot mag upgrade. nice and light for this type of stuff
Multiple likes from me 👍👍👍👍👍. What calibre are you running.
Thanks mate, very happy for the support. I’m using 308 with 150grain core lok projectiles. Works very great with well placed single shots.
Round The Fire good one. I run the same cal and gr using Federal Power-shok. The pigs don’t like em’ but the rifle does 😜
@@Graciegunfire agreed
Well that didn't deflect that's for sure, definitely didn't miss...
Great to see the young fella involved 👍
Teaching him field craft early great skills for life.
Great vid Damo. Please do more like this!
Thanks mate, will be adding a few more videos about what we do while we are out 👍🏻🍺
Nice work mate!!!
Thanks mate 👍🏻🍺
Great work mate, nice vid
Thanks mate 👍🏻
Good stuff! Been waiting on this video!
Thanks mate, something a little different 👍🏻🍺
G'day Damo just out of curiosity do you eat em or just leave em?
It all depends on the region I hunt...most government form of pest control involves poison baits...very inhuman way to control pest but very low cost. If it’s happening anywhere near where you hunt the meat isn’t even good for pet meat. In this instance it’s too close to an air drop bait program. I’ve probably saved these guys from a very slow and painful outcome
@@RoundTheFire Yeah buddy you have by the sounds of it
You have no snorkel installation video, be great if you had one.
G’day Paul. I didn’t fit my own snorkel. I paid a shop to do all the cutting and fitting for me.
Good work buddy. Teaching the kid good skills.
Little’s how are you mate? I’m love spending time with my young fella while he is still keen to do everything Dad is into...soon enough he will be too busy chasing girls to worry about the old man 👍🏻🍺🇦🇺
what is a hog?
Enjoying your video! Keep up the good work. If you have a moment you could go visit my channel 😊🤘
