- This is extra scenes from Dream's channel of the "Minecraft Speedrunner VS 5 Hunters" video. We react to what happened during the video and talk about it.

bad was just like "soooo...we won" everytime dream is done explaining
now youre just twisting it. Bad was listening to Dream's attempted explanation of what happened and even made him a second place trophy when he realized Dream was upset over what happened (note that second place trophies were never built before otherwise). in fact, Bad was honestly the most considerate of all the hunters there because everyone else only really cared about the fact that they won, while Bad actually considered the other side.
and he isnt even wrong by saying "we won", they did win because after the bug happened, Dream still died (and if he hadnt died, he probably could have killed the dragon after it respawned since Sapnap did that in this video at 3:39)

We need an official manhunt rule book because so many manhunts have had dubious endings on technicalities that change a lot.

I agree the rule book should be improved as to respawn the dragon it has to be dead so the second he killed it they respawned it so that’s a loop hole but I think dream won
It should be that if dream gets the achievement "Free the End", then he wins. If he dies before then, he loses.

One of the requirements to respawn the dragon is that the dragon has to be dead and the fight over. Meaning, dream killed the dragon the moment the ritual began, glitching the game and not giving him the achievement. I say that he should've won, but a tie would work too.

The reason he didn’t get the advancement “Free The End” is because the dragon got resummoned as soon as it died so it caused a glitch. Dream did kill the dragon though, he just didn’t get the advancement because of that
I think dream forget that the goal is not to get the achievement, but to kill the dragon, since the hunter get free the end achievement meaning the dragon is dead, so actually dream won

False, dragon was revived before it died you can check its health in the video hunters won, mc java codes automatically recognized that dragon was respawned so dream automatically got the achievement. Not because it died it doesn't have to die for codes to recognize it.
Also dream used multiple glitches through the manhunt so it's only fair that hunters had a chance to use one too.
I can confirm that Dream not getting the Free the End achievement was a bug because I tried doing that in my world where I put 5 end crystals in the center while the dragon is alive then I started to kill the dragon with a power 255 bow. When the dragon died, before respawning, I got the achievement first and the xp

@@ruinkid11111 Nope. They're talking about the SERVER jar (like, bukkit/spigot/paper, they're most likely using paper or a slightly modified version of paper). A macro would be on the client. Dream could theoretically have an auto-boat-craft macro on his computer but it's incredibly unlikely - how would he know he'd need to craft that specific recipe very quickly? Also the macro would have to capture his screen and detect the position of wood etc. Anyway, it's unrelated to the custom server jar.

You cannot respawn the dragon when another dragon is alive, but the instant after the first dragon dies, the second dragon will spawn. Killing the first dragon instantly grants the achievement [The End... Again...]. It does not grant the achievement [Free the End], and you need to kill the second dragon to get that achievement.
So that means that the hunters won?

Dream's been using bugs to his advantage the entire series. This isn't an issue, there are a ton of cool things you can do with bugs, like the boat flying thing. Just remember that if you feel bad about the ending of this episode

You can’t compare the bugs/glitches Dream uses with game breaking glitches which makes it impossible for Dream to win. Technically the hunters could use the boat glitch or the scaffolding glitch aswell.

honestly, throughout that one manhunt i was team hunters yet after seeing that ending even i got a sour taste in my mouth. it just seemed so unfair to dream

I still think Dream won. Even though there was no achievment, he did everything required to do so. Technically, they respawn the dragon, which requires it to be dead in the first place. It couldn't have healed it because he disappeared and his health bar went away, meaning the boss battle had ended, which means the dragon died.
Dream gave them the win
this is 100% a win for dream, have they've always said that dream has to kill the dragon, not that they have to get the achievement. Also the whole dragon has to die before he's respawned implies that he killed the dragon. Most damming of all, the achievement that he got, "The End . . . Again . . ." (respawning the ender dragon) has the prerequisite (listed as parent achievement on the wiki) of "Free the End" (kill the ender dragon), which is the achievement that they were arguing that he doesn't have. I'd assume that if he'd look at his achievements that he would have that achievement and the notification of him getting said achievement might be in the chat log still but buried when all of them got the "The End . . . Again . . ." achievement.
But in the multiplayer server,if the other player kills the dragon and you were in the end when he revived the dragon,you only get the end...again achievement.
And if you die in the end and kill the dragon without hitting her(like a bed or anchor) you don't get the achievement and you can still revive her and get the end..again achievement.
@@user-vk3dp7hh7i Just rewatched the end, I'd count this up to a glitch ending. Nobody in the chat log got the "Free the End achievement" but everyone got the "The End . . . Again . . ." achievement, so the ender dragon was revived before it died.

It didn't feel lika a defeat because the hunters pussied out and glitch respawned the Ender dragon hundreds of blocks away so Dream couldn't win.

He didn't really clutch. It was jitter bridging, which isn't hard to do once you can control your mouse properly while jitter clicking.

Every time I come back to this Manhunt, this was wayyy unfair to the speed runner(whoever being hunted, this person being Dream) as just trying to kill the dragon a second time would make it too hard for them to do it a second time, even with clutch, maybe with less hunters but five, FIVE? No way

I love rewatching these videos, I took a little break rewatching them cause I didn't want to waste them all and there are a couple left but I think this should've been a neutral game cause I'm pretty sure the intended mechanic is that you can only get that achievement if the Free The End achievement is gained. I love these 🦔❄
I love how there so celebratory on how the five of them beat up one person, as if they could easily beat it as the speed runner, not to mention the fact that the reason dream "lost" (even though he really shouldn't have) was because of a glitch

they worked together to get that victory some gathered resources, some went to find dream
to the point that they were so stacked and fully enchanted

What happened was 99% lag. The dragon "died", but it took time for the server to register so you didn't get the achievement, so they were able to respawn it before the achievement come.
Even though dream lost, you got to remember how he clutched up so many times:

If you analyse the replay, the dragon died, but as the crystals were in the respawn formation, the achievement was not granted, but rather the next dragon immediately started spawning. However, the dragon was indeed slain. The arguement of who won now comes down to if Dream wins if the dragon is slain, or if the achievement [Free the End] is achieved.

And I needed to be more specific: glitches that involved the ender dragon (specifically, ones that made it impossible for the speedrunner to kill it.)

I mean it could be a break, the prison is not inescapable, it has some serious flaws like shroomlight lighting and ths use of a piston door with slimestone, access to a bed and no physical barrier in the cell (lava can be crossed with exploits), and its actually easy if you allow deaths...
That said, the narrative says us it's actually inescapable, and given thd teaser it seems like he will bs freed in a more peaceful way...

theory:
the dragon was below 1 hp (possibly due to a rushed or accidental hit, so say a fully charged hit deals 7, but someone hit the dragon without full charge, thus dealing 6.95 damage) so the game thought it was dead, despawned the low dragon, and spawned in a new one.
(please feel free to correct me if about the damage part :D)
If the dragon can't be respawned while it's alive, them being able to respawn it when it WAS in fact alive is a glitch/bug in my book.
I think that the Manhunt rules should be updated to say that if the dragon can be respawned, then Dream wins, instead of Dream having to get the achievement "Free the End".
I thought, that this race is also about using pretty much everything possible. Flying boats aswell as dragon respawns. :D

I think he killed the dragon and it entered its “dying” state, and at the same time, it was forced to respawn, skipping the final death sequence and therefore also skipping the achievement.

Not the case I have closely looked at it, the dragon was alive at 1 hit and the dragon had disappeared when it was respawning and his arrow didn't hit because you could see it still going after he had attempted to shoot the dragon.

When you watch the part, where dream shoots his last arrow and play it at like 0.25 you can see that the dragon just disappears and his last arrow hits nothing

I've noticed that every new hunter gets a manhunt winning moment. BBH lava traps the end platform, Antfrost splash damage pots Dream and Sam glitches the dragon. To be fair BBH had two in the 3 hunter era with the half a heart punch from behind as well.
