Alter players are really dedicated to keeping her team safe from enemies BUT intention isn't pure as they just love pulling pranks on them.
As a catalyst main, I try to play aggressively but I'm cool headed and play next to my teammates to provide support. I kinda just go with flow of teammates because I feel I will do better with them, then without them no matter how toxic they get. In real life I'm suicidal, and dealing with gender dysphoria. So fuck me I guess.

I also get it I'm in a very similar spot to you and it does get better I promise, even if it does take forever at times. Even with anti trans laws being pushed (and people being ignorant and stupid in comments) the over all support is very slowly increasing even if it doesn't look like it. Do your best to surround yourself with supportive and like minded people especially people who will do there best to support you.
Hey Valkyrie main here, I literally laughed when you said that were loot goblins, 100% very accurate for me. And yes if there’s a short haired girl in any game I will play that character, like for example Tracer from Overwatch. I also main other characters like octane, fuse, horizon but Valkyries stook out to me.

Wattson mains are very specific, this is not the kind of character you main unless you're obsessed with her personality and you know, the way she looks. When it comes to people who are hyper fixated on a characters lore and personality, I think Wattson mains shoot straight to the top of the list, they are some ALGS wannabe players who just play Wattson cuz she actually is a viable character when you just find where final zone is and find somewhere to sit inside of and jerk off for five hours, but most people who play her do not really play her that way, they play like scared little children, wattson players almost always are controller players, and that probably comes down to the fact wattson players are usually more casual players typically these people will always be very helpful teammates like pinging ultimate accelerants and shield batteries, giving you meds and ammo when you need it, but if you do not play the way they want, its not going to go well, if they want to hide in a building for five hours and you dont do that, you're just not gonna mesh with them and the match is over, you have to bend your play style to the will of how these people want you to play and its a little annoying, this person almost definitely watches Vtubers or hell would even like to be one, and has that specific kind of uh, art on their computer, okay i'm not going to be sublte, porn of Wattson, its usually like insane, now some people are going to say, Wattson is my precious child, my bean, bro, I'd never have porn of her, first of all, I dont know why, but I feel like that somehow makes you worse, stinkier, I actually do like Wattson mains for the most part, not trying to shit on you too hard, I know theyre always going to be nice and a genuine delight to have on my team, but they will be scared of everything, reflecting how Wattson mains are in real life.

As an Ash main, i find funny how i get better at the game every time, and frustrated with things that my teammates do, but i know when i do dumb things. But, damn, it's so funny to be bad at the game.

I did play Titanfall 2, I still play Titanfall 2, so yeah, you’re right about that being part of the reason I’m an Ash main. She’s also my favorite out of all the Legends. That’s what I’ve done any time I’ve chosen a main, I just choose whoever is my favorite at that time. Ash has been my favorite since, well, Titanfall 2 lol. I’d say I’m on the more strategic side of Ash mains, I don’t enjoy pushing every fight, and if I’m jumpmaster, as soon as we land at whatever POI I choose, I will then formulate a multi-step plan on how to win. I have always primarily mained the female Legends, that’s probably because I myself am female lmao
Love the use of Medics theme from TF2 in the background of ballistics section as a nod towards Robin Atkin Downes being the Voice Actor for both of them.
As a Catalyst main I like the possibility of completely sealing off a building while also being able to play aggressively and kind of guide players where I want them. If you place your spikes in a way that people can actually pass them through a small gap often they tend to not shot them and push through the gap and you can gain a positioning advantage based on that

Maining Loba is the reason my sister decided to give me the nickname Sparkly Hooker. And I was still playing her even after everyone else abandoned her for her bracelet not working. I just have too much fun with her movement capabilities. Hence why I also main Valk, Ash, and Alter. Valk and Ash also have the TF2 connection, and I love TF2, so there's that
Sidenote, I also tend to be drawn towards the evil, chaotic, and creepy female characters. Might explain why I like Eve in LoL so much.

Crypto main checking in to confirm we do indeed believe we are better than at least 85% of the casual player base. We, or at least i don't carry ultimate excellences around because it's not really necessary. When we get into gun fights, we only have our gun skills to help us get out of any and all situations. If both of our teammates get downed we will leave the fight unless you ping while down or hop on the mic and tell us the enemy is 1 HP because at that point we are 100% thinking about the best escape and recovery route. Basically, the first gun fight is either a complete success or a potential recovery mission, and by the time any one of thoes outcomes ends we will have our ultimate ready for the next fight or to help with said recovery. As for the map, i have really good memory of where I've been before, so it's not like i know where everything is. It's just that I've landed in every area on the map and have had to think up escape routes in every single area
As a Ballistic main ur 100% true..I start to play Apex from the Moment Fuse released just to drop Apex as a whole till S16 when Ballistic leaks were coming out and that was all I needed for my Apex addiction to rly start... I can truly say I main Ballistic before he was even released and I will never regret it.

As a 29 y/o fuse main with 3 kids, i love fuse because my biggest weakness has always been ranged fights and succumbing to bad positioning especially when my team doesnt listen to me (im basically igl for my ranked team) also my buddy mains bangalore and together with fuse and bang, we can handle any positioning the enemy has and put pressure on them and our own aswell thanks to bangalores smokes and ult. Im also a huge pyromaniac which is what appealed to me first with him.

Catalyst players were the all rounders that could play around so many different playstyles. Want to push? Wall. Got downed? Wall to res or to bait them to walk through. Need to hold a building? litterally every other part of her kit... and also wall if it gets bad.
I played her depending on what teammates wanted, the only part she struggled with was just being out in the open no ult.

Wow good take on revenant. I love playing a bit aggressive but my teammates always looting just to die a 1v1. Used to main maggie but it was hard to escape which is why I I play revenant. I use my tactical to escape if my teammates don’t want to push with me. But yea Rev is for Solo Players not teambased

- Your bit on Octane really spoke to me. I love Apex Legends, it's the most fun I've had with an FPS game since Team Fortress 2. I have 1.5k hours on the game and I still get the same adrenaline rush whenever both my teammates are down and I need to clutch up, you don't get that in just any video game. It's so explosive and fast-paced, there's nothing like it out there. Octane is the first legend I grinded for and unlocked and my first main.
As for your other points...yeah. I'm guilty of just saying: "fuck it" sometimes and pressing the W key to see what happens. I will also risk my neck to try to get risky banner rescues because I just love that feeling of breaking ankles and trying to make it out in one piece. I don't leave anyone behind. It's just a shame that most teammates don't stick around long enough to even let me attempt a rescue.
Also Octane's personality is hard not to love. I've never seen the streamer character done right in any video game, usually they come across as really annoying and cringey but they did it right with Octane. I love how he's way more complex underneath the surface too. If you were to look at him just off of his voice-lines in-game you'd see a reckless, lovable dumbass, with no care in the world. But looking at his lore you see someone that doesn't understand what it's like to have people who care about you around. Someone that was abused as a kid by his shitty 'dad', someone betrayed by those who were supposed to be closest to him and just a young guy that hasn't figured himself out yet.
- Revenant was a near hit for me on what you said but it also felt like you didn't really know what to describe Rev mains like. I started learning to play Rev and mained him since before his rework. I chose him because of his looks and lore plus when I booted up the game for the first time it was Revenant that greeted me on the menu screen, so he'll always have a special spot in my heart.
You're right on the loving his attitude bit though, I am inlove with everything about this character. I think his lore is some of the most heartbreaking and well-written in Apex.
As for his rework. I know a lot of OG Rev mains were upset by it and I get it to a degree. We all spent time making a sub-par character's kit work not because he was meta but because we genuinely enjoyed the character so when he did get changed it was more personal. After his rework he become more accessible to a wider audience which made the OG's get all sour. And when top players began to use him in combo with Conduit and get him out to an even wider audience of sweats that rarely care about the character itself and only play what's meta and what works it's not hard to see why people were upset.
But that aside I actually think that Rev's new kit suits him better than his old one. He feels like the beast he was depicted as in the trailer. Chasing down targets with the pounce is a pure dopamine shot. He's selfish with his kit which is very in-character. And, despite what people like to say, he's not OP. You still have to play smart, you still have a fridge sized hitbox, and the only reason why he was ever an issue was because of Conduit mainly. Now that she can't shield him up while he's in ult anymore he's just a very solid skirmisher.
Casual Loba here, spot on. I like the fact that I dont need to worry about looting, like being able to get around the map at a decent pace, looting baloons, loba ring etc
Like the fact i can teleport away and banner recover and get those clutch revives.
I like to look after my team and do it in an easy casual way, thats Loba.
Catalyst mains play smart, we aren’t full on apex addicts and we are mid at the game

I am a Wraith main, well...was. I don't play Apex anymore. Past season I played VERY off and on since release, and stopped playing around when Mad Maggie dropped. I was definitely a more casual player and I liked Wraith cuz she's cool. Cool design with a lot of dark colors, phases out of existence, tele-portals, and most importantly a Naruto run (Naruto is my favorite anime, i will never not be upset that they took it away), she's a ninja with that heirloom.
I watched as my favorite got nerfed over and over and over again without any compensation and any buff they gave her was a drop of water in the swimming pool they drained empty.

I'm a vantage main, always been a snipe in the games i've played CSS,GW and many others i agree that she is different to everyone else, it's not as easy to actually main her due to she is a larger target, and her snipe laser can be seen a mile away, but you can do some pretty insane moves with ekko and yea the snipe she carries is good sadly not enough bullet hehe, and sure when i see other vantage players i always feel you are not better then me! but besides that im strongly a team player, vantage mains should always look out for the team, keep a bit distance but not too far, and to any vantage out there don't depend only on your snipe, you have to go agressive when you see your mates assault a building, don't wait for the people to come out.. go in help take them out, after it's cleaned go out onto the roof top and keep an eye out for incoming. just a tip really i see so many vantage players standing there with their snipes like it's 1 shot 1 kill it's not. The few vantage mains there is Yea we are different but that makes us special and not as easy to counter.

I’m one of those “you robot I play you” type of players but I also play vantage because my playstyle works with her (I have basically the same layout of playstyle for pathfinder revenant and vantage while ash I have a different style of play)
