luv jerry blackwell in st.louis ..very underrated
True
Blackwell was incredible and could do things in the ring that was mind blowing for a guy his size.
Agreed
God bless Sheik Ayatollah Jerry Blackwell.
Great childhood memory: We're at a TV taping for a neighbor kid's birthday and we're waiting to get in the building, and up pulls Jerry Blackwell in a Cadillac and I swear, when he stopped, the car hydraulically lowered like 6 inches and then he gets out super easy. Anyway, he comes up to the door where we are, and the kid from across the street ask's him for his autograph, and Jerry says "Sure kid" and signs his name and hands it back. So the kid says: Thanks, *Fatwell.* 🤣
Jerry went in and I wonder if he was like "Them little shits. I sign for them and they still call me names."🤣
nice
I grew up in AWA territory in the '70s and '80s. Blackwell was my favorite! He was great in the ring and great in promos. He understood the business. Nobody every shoots on Jerry, thank you for this!
Love it
Jerry Blackwell was one of the most agile Big Men ever in the sport! At 400 lbs that man could throw a Great Dropkick ! R.I.P.
One of the greats
Recall Blackwell being on the "worlds strongest man"
Really ?
Pretty sure, late 70's/early 80'sMight have been right after Patera as the "wrestler" picked. also recall it because Cleve Dean (pro arm wrestler) like Blackwell was a "country boy"@@montethepharaohli1prowrestling
@@charlesclark8568 thank you
Ken & Blackwell were great tag Champs when Ken would call himself Lawrence of Arbia was great Blackwell could move for a big guy and could get the crowd crazy and the AWA could've ruled wrestling
They were cool
Great Heels as a tag team .
Agreed
i worked at a grocery store as a kid and he would come in every week to shop and yes he was illiterate. the cashier or his boy would fill out the check and he would sign it.
@@j5429280 damn
@@montethepharaohli1prowrestling hey i am speaking the truth.he even tried to hit up on our florist gal at the store. but she turned him down.
@@j5429280 Thanks for sharing
Jerry EatWell
OUCH
We used to call him "Fatwell". He was great.
@@monte68x lol
That's what Crusher Lisowski would call him during their feud. Crusher Lisowski would bring a stuffed Miss Piggy doll to the interview as a gimmick. I remember one crusher bolo punch where Blackwell sold it so well he went flying out of the ring. To tell the truth Blackwell was the one who made that feud so over because Blackwell would sell in a comical fashion. Lisowski was too old to sell.
He was a good jobber in the old NWA
Blackwell?
Patera looks like hes in a room that hes being held hostage in
ouch
Ken should be on show weekly he a walking gimmick
Agreed check out Missy Beefcake this Thursday 7 pm You will enjoy it
