The only reason Shaq won Finals MVP was because the East Coast teams (Pacers/Sixers/Nets) had size disadvantages compared to the West Teams that Kobe destroyed (Kings/Spurs). But Kobe definitely carried his squad against the western teams. And we all will agree that the western teams were much tougher competition than the eastern finalist.
