In the end this is all instinctive... and more of personality...if you tend to be a calmer person under pressure in life situations it will sure apply on the pitch too. Football teaches us important life skills too and gives us opportunity to practice them. composure is very key..staying calm in the storm
There is a personality component to it, but there's also a training component too. If you learn and practice certain skills enough times, they will become instinctive, so you can do them without thinking about it. So, with enough repetitive practice, you can take a player who isn't good under pressure and turn them into a player who is. It's the same with confidence on the pitch. A player who isn't very skilful won't be very confident, but if you train them until they are skilful, then their confidence will go up a lot.
I am watching this to learn how to defend against attackers. And to acknowledge what areas of weakness the striker takes advantage of. This makes me a better defender.
nice one bro. I find the best thing i can do in defense is to keep a low body position. almost able to touch the ground with my hands. it will help you react quicker
gonna have trials in a few days for the school team hope i make it Edit: thanks to everyone for the support❤️ I didn't make it but my friend did I'd argue it was pretty unfair but we go again next year💪 Edit 2(2023): I made it first match next week (14thoct)
As a very clumsy guy, Cruyff's turn and la croqueta have turned me from an awful player into a decent player. Those are basically the only skill moves I do and they work most of the time
@@numbertheory2435 i didn't really practiced them individually it came with time when playing, but I would advice passing the ball between your feet over and over, then try doing la croqueta around a cone or any obstacle
@@numbertheory2435hmm how to practice la croqueta i think u should try to think of it as moving both of ur legs to one side then do a little jump I think that will help you do the skill
@numbertheory2435 It works for me most of the time, but you need to time it properly. If you just do it when they aren't close enough, they will just read your move and tackle you. Same as if you leave it too late. Generally, I do it when I'm about 1 step from my opponent, or as soon as I see them stepping in to make a tackle. It also helps if you do a body feint or stutter step first to unbalance the defender and then do la croqueta immediately afterwards.
The ONLY single most important thing to know about evading players: *It's impossible to change moving body direction when one foot is off the ground* Therefore whichever skill move, feint or dribble you do.. focus on changing direction when your opponent is lifting their foot off the ground.
Didnt know that. Ty i have a tournament in 7 days exactly, and i recently lost a match 2 days ago,i think it was my fault as i was a winger and i couldnt cross, i will try to follow your comment and will tell after the 2nd match if it worked!
Till date I believe la croqueta and roulette are the best moves that a midfielder can use anywhere if he masters it Also you can make your own variations if you master the skills La pausa and la pelopina or whatever it is which was used by xavi is also a great move
I'd love to see a video demonstrating the Maradona turn. It's becoming a popular move to teach in some American academies, but a lot of the video tutorials are only so-so. You guys could do it better!
1) awareness know where are your teammates so that you can pass them and also see where are the opponents 2) bonus inside step over 3( bonus) when a defender id behind you stop for a (free) freekick 4) feint with sole drags (little slower) than fast fast as flash 5) v drags 6) bonus messi's trick slowly go to opponentand do a skill and become flash 7) sole roal stop and look up and see who to give
If you have a low centre of gravity and know how to shield the ball with your body and legs to draw fouls then it will really help. I Watched players like Verratti or Hazard and how their ball retention is elite
I think what helps the most is just keeping it simple, literally just think intuitively about the easiest move you could make to get past your defender and then make it. No fancy shit, dribbling like crazy only to not go anywhere and get the ball stolen
I know some really bad skill moves and i practiced them for the past 2 yers and im a master at them. I suck now. How can i get rid of them and master the body feint? Please help 😢
This thursday my first ever training with a team, first time I play on a big straight field with big goals. I played 9 years in an old stadium which s field wasnt even straight it was bumpy and shit, I played with 2 sticks instead of a goal for a lot of years, then we got some football goals that are not big, but extremly better. I'm 14 and I can play any position, mostly attack LW Or St, I can play rw too. I got speed shooting vision passing defending finishing long distance shooting ahility strength and everything. I just need to get out of pressure, this pressure makes me miss. Good luck for me
If I play good here I can get selected soon for matches, I'm turning 15 in a few months and If i keep playing like I naturally do I will for sure get a pro contract. Can t wait for thursday
It's funny how it works. I practice all these moves in my game, but never tried to learn them and never heard of them. Just playing with my team and friends and it comes automatically. Remember that was before the internet was a thing, some time back LOL Guess the tricks aren't new at all, these have existed for a long time already.
Instead of practice V Drag and Sole Role Stop with cones, I highly suggest to use trees with the width like an average human beings. Why? Well, you could swing your head, shoulders, and arms across the space above the cones a few times, and then you will be given the illusion that you have mastered the skills. “Boards don't hit back!” --- Bruce Lee ---
I started football at the age of 18 now i am 21 and my reflexes are too slow i am fast at running but with ball i am too slow. I treid too much to improve but i can't i loose ball control in 1 vs 1 or such intense conditions while dribbling

very true if youre naturally narcissistic then you will most likely be a selfish player

It’s important to note these need to be practices so much that it becomes 2nd nature to you. It should be instinctive.

Cryuff Turn and La Croqueta are very important skill moves to get out of pressure, the simplest most effective skill moves

Whenever I'm under pressure I start to panic and lose the ball 😥, been trying to improve on that
same especially being a defender or midfield
Try using your body as a shield
Watch Verratti and Kovacic and how they use their body to drive out of pressure
1) awareness know where are your teammates so that you can pass them and also see where are the opponents
2) bonus inside step over
3( bonus) when a defender id behind you stop for a (free) freekick
