This set is odd, because there are SO MANY better Ideas for a Shadow-based 18+ set. A buildable statue, a UCS Dark Rider, buildable versions of his air shoes, a diorama of a scene from Sonic Adventure 2... out of all of those possibilities, why did they go with Shadow's head on a pike?
I'm really sad they haven't expanded that original Sonic 18+ set. They had the pins & slots for expansions to be added, but haven't done anything with it as yet. Even a new zone would be appreciated.
Honestly, if they gave us the body with his head, it would’ve been a way better set and maybe worth the price I mean, just picture a giant shadow the hedgehog statue
These huge brick build figures always looks strange to me, like the 75255 Yoda statue for example. To me these are straight up in uncanny valley territory, they always looks so robotic and mechanical.
At 1:38 I got concerned from the reflections that it was like Golden Freddy and Bonnie from FNAF but it was just the loot llama and SImba 😭 Fantastic review though, and there were a few 2025 rumors that got revealed recently for new lego Sonic stuff as well!
Ugliest Lego head ever. You can get better looking Nano block Sonic figures from China that are the whole figure for a fraction of the price. No Shadow but at least the main boys, aka Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. You'd think since Lego has the license in the west they'd put more effort into a 18+ set. That Mario and Yoshi set is at least better than this, displays better and even has a little play feature since it moves. Another zone that connects to the Ideas set would've been nice for sure. Maybe Chemical plant or Casino night from Sonic 2. A classic Tails minifig.
