Hey, Sal. Nice post. It's one of those non-inferiority trials which always feels like a wasted trial; it doesn't move the needle in either direction. I suppose there is still benefit of a trial like this in that it let's the clinician decide based on the specifics of the patient. Thx.
That is a question for the authors…however they have already performed a dose finding study -> rebelem.com/the-ketaban-trial-nebulized-ketamine-for-analgesia-in-the-ed/
Just dropped a question here to ask if Dr. Rezaie has ceased posting critical care case in this channel? 😊 many thanks
Not at all...just took a few months off social media...will be ramping back up in the next few weeks :)
Nice post.. thank you Sal
Glad you enjoyed it

It's actually a superiority trial...but agree doesn't really move the needle either way...plus I have to say...IN seems easier than K-BAN IMHO.
@@SalimRezaie Ah, I stand corrected. Intuitively, seems IV administration is easier than nebulization of any meds in a busy ED.
Sheesh Salim that beard is killer.
Appreciate it brotha...funny enough just shaved it off...but don't worry...it grows back quickly ;)
They used iv formulation to nebulize as off licence?

Then NEB preparation
is it 0.75mg/kg mix with 5 ml or 100 of normal saline???
Or pure ketamine😅
The neb is 0.75mg/kg mixed with 5mL...the 100mL is for the IV formulation

Thanks alot
Don't forget if you are going to neb be far away enough jajaja... Or you could see dragons
Hahahahaha
