This is one of the greatest shows to ever air on Disney Channel. I can't praise the creator, Alex Hirsch, enough. It's gotvso much mystery, comedy, and heart. I hope you enjoy it.

Fun Fact, Mabel's voice actress is Kristen Schall is a legend in the voice acting community. And Alex Hirsch confirmed that if he didn't get her to play Mabel, he wouldn't have make the show. It was that important to him
Apparently, they lucked out on the timing as they cast Schall right before her career took off. Had they gotten to her a little later she would've been too busy to commit to a full series.
Arguably her two other best known voiceovers in animation are Louise Belcher from Bob's Burgers and Sarah Lynn from Bojack Horseman

Just so you all know after Ep 7 we will look at solving the codes (we didn’t learn of them prior to filming Ep 6) and we start watching the post credit scenes after Ep 4!

I love how you guys immediately started theorizing about the "zodiac" thing in the opening credits. I can tell you're going to have a lot of fun with this series!
This was THE show that got me into the animation grind back in 2012, I was 9 lol. I love this show so much and I’m so happy Alex got to end it the way he wanted to end it unlike The owl house. Bonus fun fact, Alex wanted to end the show after season one until Disney pushed him to make a season 2, they tried aguan for a season 3 but he declined and out his foot down.

This show is known to be the father of all cartoons and the root that paved the path for amphiba and the owl house cannot wait to see you guys progress to this series further but sadly my school is starting next week and i may not be able to catch the premiers every tuesday night but i will still def try to make it!!! Oh man, Gravity Falls! I remember watching this years ago. It's pretty popular and so we got curious and decided to watch it. It was fun from the start but it gets interesting once the hints of the mysteries starts popping up. I also remember watching the finale and how excited we felt and how happy we were seeing the ending. I hope you guys enjoy this!
This series takes place in the same universe as The Owl House and Amphibia (same human world). In fact, Eda is confirmed to be Grunkle Stan's ex-wife.
There are many theories about Eda being Stan's ex-wife. Finding out about it shocked me that they were probably in the same universe, but it kind of made sense
Gravity Falls is just a place where a lot of Titan Blood leaks out. Hence the increased weirdness.
I really hope that's not the case.

Mr Peanut is one of the greatest villains in Disney Channel- History and one of the many characters on the show voiced by Alex Hirsch.
YES! WE GOT ANOTHER ONE! This is my favorite show! You will not regret this, I promise you. Also, Alex Hirsch voices Stan, Soos, Jeff the gnome, schmebulock, the mattress prince, and a loooooooooooot of background characters. This came before owl house, so owl house took a loooot of inspiration from this.
Protip to avoid spoilers, NEVER look at the episode titles ahead of time.
Also pay close attention to background details. There's foreshadowing and codes everywhere. See what you can solve. You have a lot of CIPHERS to look forward to.

When you catch the image in the into, you gained my respect, again. Many people skips the obvious for some reason. Also don't miss the cryptograms at the end of each episode. Pretty important.

Whaaat?! I love Gravity Falls! It's actually one my faboritr cartoons of all time next to Avatar and Korra. If they love avatar, I assume they're gonna love this as well. I loke the shows show's animation but moreso the storybuilding, twists, humor that goes through the kids' heads wherein only adults could understand, and continuity.
I actually haven't seen Gravity Falls (surprisingly) so this is now another show I'll watch along with this channel, which has worked put surprisingly well for MHA. Super pumped to watch this :D

This is a beautiful comfort show, you’ll love it! It doesn’t hit as hard emotionally as the owl house (mostly), the comedy is great, and it has puzzles and riddles to solve as you go!

Few things to note:
The creator of this show is Alex Hirsch, who voices Stan, Soos and half the cast of this show, and he also voices King and Hooty
The second thing is that he and Dana Terrace, creator of The Owl House are currently in a relationship.
Thirdly, Dana herself started as a storyboard artist for Gravity Falls, which is why it has some similarities with Owl House

If you guys don't already know, this takes place in the same universe as The Owl House, just 10-ish years prior to the events of that show!
The gasp I let out when I saw this in my notifications. This show is like an all-time classic to me, I also remember when it first premiered on TV, but it kind of just existed in the background to me until I got really into the lore... let's just say during season 2. No more specifics. I never participated in the code-breaking stuff, and the show is perfectly enjoyable without it, but I would love to see you guys take on all the mystery elements.
Also, the overlap with The Owl House is less in terms of the show's actual themes, and more that it's a lot of the same crew working on it. Writers, storyboarders, animators, Alex Hirsch is there... so a lot of the humour and specific interests sort of carried over between the two shows. The guy who did the music for Gravity Falls also did all the music for Owl House seasons 2 and 3 and you can tell because it's awesome.
I cannot wait for you guys to start building your theories about everything. I hope you get into all the code cracking as well, as it’s a classic element of the show that I missed out on as a kid.

As a lot of folks have mentioned, the creator of Gravity Falls, Alex Hirsch, voiced King and Hooty on The Owl House. (In this show he does both Grunkle Stan, Soos, and several other characters as well; plus a lot of one-offs in various episodes. For example -- he did Jeff the Gnome's voice here, too.) I do think it's worth knowing that Dana Terrace, the creator of The Owl House, was a storyboarder and animator on the second season of Gravity Falls. (And Matt Braly, creator of Amphibia, also worked on Gravity Falls.) Since you guys mentioned several times being reminded of The Owl House, there's your connection. While they're fairly different shows, Gravity Falls is kind of the springboard for the two later shows.

This show has the most crazy, unbelievable, brain-melting ammount of mysterious sh*t you'll ever find. There are A LOT of easter eggs that lead to future episode events, and even some clues are on official merchandise in the real world.

Out of all the cartoons I’ve seen in the 2010’s this one is my favorite.
From episode 1 it made me very nostalgic of the cartoons I’ve watched in my childhood in the 90’s - early 2000’s.

DAAAMN, first time watching you guys because every once in a while I search for reactions to Gravity Falls to binge watch. AND I LOVE YOU, usually I don't like too much pausing, but with this you actually pause to share your thoughts on important things and it shows that you are actually interested and paying attentions, which for a show like GF it's REALLY important.
Hope you get into it as much as I did!

Gravity Falls formed my personality and sense of humor, and I'm so happy you guys are watching this show. when i tell you this show formed my childhood and personality today I'm not kidding lolol. being big into mysteries, paranormal, having that niche sense of humor, and being just as energetic as Mabel and marching to the beat of my own drum. Being like Dipper aswell, writing down all of my thoughts and diving in deep into my interests. i love this show beyond belief.

If we're making this a Disney binge, you guys GOTTA watch Kim Possible once you finish Gravity Falls. It's one of the few 2000's cartoons that I'd say holds up IMMENSELY well. The writing and humor is so good, and the characters and voice cast exploit that expertly.
It'll be nice to go back to the era of ATLA, where you guys started with this channel.

hi hi, I'm one of the people that have watched Gravity Falls as it was coming out on Disney Channel (and cried a ton when it ended--I was graduating high school that year so the ending hit super hard) and haven't gotten around to watching the Owl House (yet!! one of these daysss when I wrangle my list of shows to watch). I promise you're going to enjoy this journey a lot!
I remember when I first discovered this series back in 2015. I really wish I had been part of the ride when it first started because this show really made me feel like a kid again. But I managed to get into the series just as the mid-season 2 finale aired the same year, so at least I was there when the series conclude in 2016. It's one of the best children's cartoons ever made. Here's to hoping the creator decides to come back and do more graphic novels.
Fun fact! It's never mentioned in the show but rather the books that Dipper's name is just a nickname! His real name is Mason (to match with Mable). The reason for his nickname is a spoiler so I'll keep it there :]
And to be super clear -- this isn't a show spoiler, because Dipper's real name is never mentioned in the show. It was only revealed in the published Journal 3, which came out after the show ended. (DO NOT GET THAT BOOK until you finish watching the show. It's cover-to-cover spoilers. But once you do finish the show, definitely get it!)

I was SHOCKED To see you guys were doing gravity falls! It's one of my favorites of all time only I thought in recent times it's fallen under the radar of Is more modern viewers. You guys are in for a hell of a ride!
There is a real life journal 3 in stores so if you do not want to be spoiled, dont read it until the end of the series.
Also there are shorts that aired between season 1 and 2 as there was a long wait between seasons. These shorts are fun and a couple of them relate to season 2. Please be aware of them and try to see them before you watch season 2
This show was the peak of Disney shows, nothing will ever beat it lol
I love that you're doing this! And you're already on episode 5 -- I think 4 or 5 is where it starts to get good. Like The Owl House, it takes a while to establish characters, and the normal pace of episodes, then dives deep into the mystery and the story. I think it does this very well, but you have to be patient and enjoy what's in front of you!
This show does foreshadowing and sneaky details so well. You might find out more looking at the background of the episode than the episode itself sometimes.

Gravity falls is the best show to ever grace disney, infinity train and a few others make close seconds, but Gravity Falls was so good airing live as it had running mysteries the audience would theororize about.
Never seen any of your videos before, but I'm excited to see new people reacting to Gravity Falls! I didn't discover this show until everything went on lockdown during the pandemic, but it's fantastic! FYI, the first season is very good, but it's mostly just introducing us to the characters & setting, along with a bunch of character building, with little bits of the main plotline thrown in here and there. The second season is where the show gets really good, and it goes much more plot-heavy.
the writing of this show is AMAZING! every small detail is important and it’s almost like a dark show in disguise lol especially in season 2
