Your teaching is really didactic.it is pure happiness. In the last part of the video, if it is in the key of Em the fourth chord should be in theory Am7 ? Am I wrong ? Could you explain the concept of secondary Dominant ? Thank you so much for Willing us to progress. It is very generous from your part.
We're here on Day 7. Thanks Dave! This has been an incredible journey so far for many of us. And having a few days with the same backing track has given me the space to practice what we've been learning... applying both the familiar and less familiar without feeling overwhelmed while trying to learn the next "new thing" before moving on. A great natural progression for me at least. I have had a few "aha" moments these past few days where what I play sounds good... "period" as the young folk say, 😜🎸 So grateful for your teaching.
Oh GOD I wish I was learning guitar in this day and age.... Picture 1983.....I've got a TOTAL POS electric guitar and a Mel Bay book. I chucked the book and started learning Red House 👍 I'm pretty good these days, but OMG I did it the hard way! Dave - your giving them the golden keys 👏
Oh man, didn’t even think of that but YES! Like the diatonic version would be Em D C D Em and the A7 is a secondary dominant of the first D, right? Love it. Hope other see your comment. Thanks Jim 😎🙏🎸
@@TaoOfTwangGuitarLessons Dave I am aware of secondary dominant chords but in the context of returning to the one chord how is this related to the first D?? Can you explain in simple terms for me please!
Shout out to you Dave from a Train Driver (Engineer) in the U.K. Really enjoying the Challenge Series.
Interesting job! Great to hear from you! Cheers 🚂
day 7 lets go, lots of ideas I've been taught before, hardest part has always been piecing it all together, it's been a joy following along.
Glad it's been helpful. Keep on rockin' it! 😎🎸✌️

Another great one Dave. I'll be working on this 14 day challenge, for 14 months and beyond...
We all will. I’m many years into it already lol 😎🎸✌️

Great job Dave, this lesson fills in some of the blanks of my music theory understanding for smoother runs. 😊
That's great to hear! Glad it was helpful 😊🎸

Lost me a bit on this one Dave but am sticking with your mantra not to overthink it. Thanks dude
How’s your Em Pentatonic working out? That’s really it for this one and if you want a little something extra play an arpeggio for the A 🎸😎
Ok, just my thought. Can this be considered the key of G and the A is the secondary dominate ? Asking for a friend 😏
