Without really thinking I adopted your picking technique. I used to move my wrist more, but after watching you I let my arm do the work and it hurts much less.
Ah interesting! 👍 It has just been in the last few years that I’ve started using my arm more. For me it feels more comfortable/natural, and helps me feel less tense while playing. Thanks for watching!
Wow! Just, wow! This is the liveliest version of this tune I've heard. :-) I also love the seeing how relaxed and smiling you are. You're playing music, not "working" music. Best regards from Key West, Capt Blackheart Charlie
you have been an inspiration for me to pickup the mandolin. My very first one arrives in two days! Ive reached various levels of success with the guitar, banjo and ukulele but there is something about the mando that is really calling me. Thanks for posting your work.
That’s great! I hope you enjoy the mandolin, there’s something special about it I think! Thanks for watching, and best of luck with the new mando 😃 I hope you’ll also post some videos!
How's your mandolin playing going 6 months later!! Mandolin is such a beautiful instrument I feel like I can relate to you I played guitar and banjo for years and started playing mandolin that was 13 years ago and I'm happy to say it's the most fun I've had picking! Snagged me a 1916 Gibson f2 a while back and am in love! I have to take my Micheal Kelly to jam tho lol
@@k5mando you said it best! There I something very special about the mando! When I listen to bands that's the break I'm waiting on! Your playing is so good it gives me chills! I stole your b part to this tune haha thanks!
Just found your channel! I'm stealing some licks from you haha I have a jam coming up and I'm brushing up on some fiddle tunes. Love your style really smooth playing! 👌 I'm trying to add some Steffy and Hull sound in my playing and now some of yours! I'm the lone mandolin player amongst all the guitar and banjo players haha 😄 I love playing guitar but when it comes to bluegrass mandolin RULES! Keep up the nice picking cause you have me grinning
Good job Kylie! You probably don't remember me from our youth. I used to play with the kba trebkemakers when I was a kid. Not sure where we met, silver dollar city maybe. Used to talk sometimes on FB though. Glad to see you're still gettin at it. Sounding amazing
Learning your solo as we speak! Great tone too - I’m also in a NFS5 and it’s cool to hear the difference based on your technique! Im curious about your mic setup as well!
I'm so impressed with the tone/timbre it captures - I've got a similar level of mic so it must be a mixture of technique and the room treatment. Thanks for the continuing inspiration :-)@@k5mando
Kaylie - Amazing! Is it possible to get Tab for this or any of your other songs? I keep watching this video but cant figure out the fingering. Any help you can give me? Thanks in Advance
Hi! I don’t have tabs for the specific arrangement on this video, but if you have questions I’m happy to help! Send me an email (address is in the video description). :)
Kylie! This is such a beautiful rendition!
I know why Kylie is smiling…
This tune is happy and FUN to play!
besides the enjoyment of listening to you, I love the happy, satisfied looks when you execute a nice lick
Haha, my playing faces even surprise me sometimes when I watch back! 😂 thanks for watching!
exactly :) when I play I look like I am planning a mass murder of thousands of children

Very nice Kylie.
Thank you.
I love playing Cherokee Shuffle too.
love your style.
Beautiful, kept true to the melody with some beautiful improv in places which was so tasty

Bravissima! Ciao from Italy 🙂
I hope Northfield appreciates all the mandolins you're selling for them, Kylie.
A wonderfully heartfelt rendition of a classic!

great stuff - keep it up!🙂
That was full of joy! Loved it, and subscribed! :D
Thank you.
Oh I LIKE this, I'm going to copy it on my Manolin (and my violin as well). THANK YOU
You have such an amazingly relaxed and groovy style. Great playing.
Thanks so much!
I'm getting closer, I've almost got it (on Mandolin any way).
I have yet to attempt it on violin.
Hell yeah dude!! You play so clean!! I wish you the best in whatever music venture you want!
Thanks! 😃👍
Beautifully done!
Very good! I’m a beginner and you inspire me.
wonderful mandolin ,wau
Excellent work! You sounded very similar to Sam Bush!
Love this
I’d sell my mandolin to be able to play like you 😊 (then buy it back immediately)

Awesome 🙌 I believe this one was recorded with an Audio Technica AT2020… pretty nice budget mic, quite dark sounding though so I don’t always use it..

Nice picking
Thanks! That's beautiful :)
Super
Love the sound- I'm a Northfield owner & fan. Are you playing an Engelmann or an Adirondack top mandolin?
Love it!
What model is your Northfield?
It is a F5S - Engelmann!

Very nice, beautiful sound. I’m sure it’s your playing but does your mandolin have an englemenn spruce top? Thank you
Yes it is Engelmann! 👍 I love the Engelmann sound.
@@k5mando me too. It’s hard to find at an affordable price.
@@somarmd Yeah, interesting! I’ll keep my eyes open. It would be interesting if someone like Eastman made a mandolin with a comparable tonewood.
Why is it named cherokee shuffle?
I'm single BTW, Kylie 😍
I'm sorry I noticed just now that you have the wedding ring, sorry sweet creature.......
Bostin!
