    Dear Zahid,
    Yes, I'll consider that. I have a lot of experience helping people with cannabis problems; I coach many athletes using it to manage pain, and am very aware of the problems of chronic usage.

    Paul, I’m relieved to have found you. Holy ****! You talk about everything and don’t hold back. Thank heavens there’s a voice of reason among so much craziness. I’ve only been listening to you for a week or so and I need to lose weight. I’ve always over-exercised to keep my weight down. I had a catastrophic snow skiing accident and now have 2 total knee replacements for which I’m grateful but I can’t seem to deal with my weight honestly. However, this past week I’ve gone back to meditating, reconnecting with my spirit animal (grizzly bear) and adding the component of asking myself before I eat if this is what will benefit me. The bizarre thing to me is that I’ve been eating less and feeling full, going to the bathroom regularly-all things that were NEVER happening since I was a kid. I wish I’d known you before I got on that ski lift in 1987 😐 and the 30 years I’ve been in agonizing and chronic pain. Ty for being who you are. I bought Stalking the Wild Pendulum. Wow. I feel like my skull is too small for the information.

    Great great video series, thank you. I don't take sugar in my coffee but if I did, I would probably omit adding any fat like butter or cocunut oil because THAT combo is is addictive in its self as it's like chocolate and research has found that it's that magic 50/50 split that keeps us coming back for more so gaining body fat

    I've never been a fan of coffee, but I've started having a small amount in the morning mixed with some coconut fat, and my morning writing at 0500 each day has been much more productive.
    Only other time I've had coffee years back was driving long distance late at night, I'd drink some straight black coffee to keep me focused while driving that distance to and from work

    Paul i'd love to hear your opinion on Bullet proof coffee. Its mould free coffee with MCT oil and grassfed butter in it.

    • @paulchek1781
      @paulchek1781 11 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great concept, but Bullet Proof coffee "is not" organic from what I can determine by scanning their web site. If it were, I'm sure they'd be marketing it as organic for obvious reasons. Additionally, I'd prefer people use relatively unprocessed whole fats, such as butter, and the other fats I mentioned. If you follow the research on fats backward for the past 20 years, you'll clearly see that yesterdays (fat) gospel is today's mistakes...We made it in the wild eating wholefood based fats and had no doctors and scientists to convince us to dissect our foods; in many ways, we are far better off sticking to basics and only using so-called "science" when we have diseases. Even then, it takes a legitimate "expert" to manage the complex biochemical changes created when using any isolate nutrition. That's my take anyway.

      I suggest you look into the resources I share for getting off of coffee in Part 3 on Friday. There are many dietary and lifestyle factors that probably need to be addressed aside from the coffee challenges; they are most likely connected to the reasons for your drinking coffee to begin with. You'd gain a lot by reading my book, "HTEM&BH!
      Getting into tai-chi, yoga, breathing exercises, and the zone exercises I share for specific body-mind challenges in my book will go a long way to helping you. Often, lack of protein in the diet produces this kind of challenge after coming off of coffee; low protein levels stimulate sweet cravings because insulin carries amino acids across the blood brain barrier to feed a hungry neuro-hormonal axis. Many people "eat enough protein" but can't effectively digest and assimilate it due largely to digestive distress, which is usually an expression of mental stress.
      I'm sure if you study my book, you'll be able to see from your health appraisal questionnaire (in the book) where your primary stresses lie, and the book shows you what to do to decrease the stress and balance yourself.
      Much chi,
      Paul Chek

    Hi Paul, I've been watching a lot of your videos, audios and etc, and you said a couple of times, that you started as massage therapist and physiotherapist and your methods were so unique and effective, that you started teaching other professionals. My question is: Where/how did you learn this techniques in the first place?? Thank you for all you're doing!!

    • @paulchek1781
      @paulchek1781 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I studied nutrition, exercise, and massage therapy to aid my own boxing and triathlon career. I was asked to become trainer of the US Army Boxing team by the coaches because I knew much more than they did. That gave me 2 years to work directly with the team physician, an osteopath. He taught me acute sports injury care. I then left the army and got certified in Sports Massage Therapy and opened my practice in San Diego in 1986. I worked with a Chiropractor specializing in sports injuries for almost 2 years. I was then the first massage therapist to be hired full time in a physical therapy clinic. I worked in the largest PT clinic in SD for 4 years, trading ideas and methods with 22 PTs and 13 surgeons. Studied Neuromuscular therapy, became licensed to give medical injection as a physician's assistant, and traveled the world for many years studying with, and hiring the top experts in relevant fields to train with. I have learned the most from paying attention, and studying what "does work" in a clinical practice.
      After I left the PT clinic, Steve Clarke, a very skilled PT and I opened our own PT clinic in La Jolla, Ca. We sold it three years later and I started the Chek Institute. In that time, now 30 years, I've put my mind and spirit to the study of all relevant aspects of nature, and human health and performance. I'm also licensed as a Spirit Guide - Medicine Man (shaman), and that approach is an integral part of my practice today, for many reasons...
      Hope that helps a little. You can always go to the Chek Institute site and read my history, and my article titled, "The Chek Philosophy" if you'd like greater detail.
      Much chi,
      Paul Chek

      Paul Chek Thank you so much for your answer. I've been looking for your more comprehensive biography, but that didnt yielded much results (just brief information, and very rarely i came across about antyhing before the C.H.E.K. Institute, yet I'm very interested in that part of your life, because I heard that your left or were expelled from school quite early and you don't have college degree - I think many people should know, that you don't need conventional education to be the best in any field). I'm definitely going to read the article. And I also want to say, to your an amazing inspiration to me. Thank you for that and for everything you do!

    Amazing that you have come up with this topic. I have recently realized how much a of a role coffee was having in my overall health/life. And I have made serious changes in how I make my coffee and how I consume it. And what a difference in how I feel. Its amazing how much coffee can effect someones health, yet it seems very few are aware of it in terms of how many people consume it on a daily basis.
    I have a couple of questions:
    1. After freshly grinding and brewing the coffee, do you think if you slowly consume one cup of coffee over a half hour period, it still has the same nutritional benefits, or are they already seriously diminishing at that point? does it really need to be as quickly as 10 minutes in your opinion?
    2. Do you think re-heating a cup of coffee in the microwave (even after being ground and brewed a short time ago) can make a difference in the nutritional level of the coffee?
    thanks for everything you do.

    I work at Starbucks and drink coffee every day. Most of these things don't apply to me. The only things that I have experienced is the dehydrating effect and the bowel movements. But I am aware of that so I make sure I stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. I'm not addicted, I have never had pain during my menstrual cycle (as long as I'm treating my body right that is), my sex drive is pretty strong. Maybe as I age it will have a more negative affect but right now (in my 20s) I don't feel like it has any major negative effects.

    Keep in mind some of the highest quality beans are grown at altitude in challenging terrain which means high antioxidant levels (natures pest control) and a lot of work to spray even if the trees have insect issues. Also the farmers are poor and cannot afford FT/O certs or are forced to sell to a cooperative that negitiates on their behalf. Really has nothing to do with FT/O being " healthier" or "fair."

    • @paulchek1781
      @paulchek1781 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good points there. My concern isn't for the people with the awareness or finances to buy high quality beans. It is more of a concern for the average human being drinking "shit" coffee out there. I've tested everything I'm sharing extensively, researched it, and focusing on the general message I'm sharing, one can't go wrong. There's all sorts of farming and coffee politics, as with any arena, but when it comes to being healthy in a modern world, we need some basic skills and one of them is to seek out the cleanest beans possible, and being healthy enough in side to feel and know when what you are drinking isn't good for you, regardless of what the label may say...
      Thanks for sharing Funky Tape!

      Paul Chek

    • @barnz008
      @barnz008 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Chek Your concern is totally justified. I used to drink "shit" coffee until you turned me on to espresso. I just think the blanket advice "go buy organic because it's better" is nonsense. I've roasted my own coffee for a few years and have cupped some really amazing stuff (85-90's) and I've only come across a few FT/O coffees that were both worth of distinction and worth the premium. BTW, last time I saw you was probably 6-7 years ago and you had your La Pavoni lever action in your suitcase. Look forward to the next video to see if you're still rockin that bad boy. - John (HLC 3, Golf Bio, PPSSMP)

      I understand your feelings on organic coffee "politics" and the effect on the product. I hope you can appreciate that I have to create a "Rainbow Bridge" from bad, to less bad, knowing that only a microcosm of people will make the effort and/or spend the money to get "the best".
      Each step in the right direction is a step forward in healing, which brings with it, a proportional degree of "increased awareness". People naturally seek "the best" when their awareness reaches the point where they can see the benefits not only for themselves, but for all involved, including the little beings of nature and nature as a whole.
      Much chi,
      Paul Chek
