      @@sergino83 correct, but often people overspend for gadgets and luxury that isn't necessary to just get to work. Also there's a difference between looking at cars bc you're bored with what you have instead of it truly needing replaced.
      I have a cheap toyo i daily drive and plan on keeping until it dies with a camaro i baby and treat more like a weekend toy. I caught myself eyeing older vettes from early 90's when i don't have enough time to fully enjoy the toys i already have- so i bought a high end camera as it won't suffer if I don't have time to play with it foe several months. Still stare at old vettes, so maybe it didn't work 🤣
      I went and got way too serious for what was an original joke, but forgive me- it's too cold to go outside past couple days. TH-cam and coffee is the most fun I've had last 3 days 😧😞😓

    I’d just like to express my appreciation for not just your approach and knowledge, but especially for your skill as a presenter. It’s such a relief to hear a TH-cam presenter who doesn’t sound like they learned to speak by listening to text-to-speech engines, which would be about 80% of TH-cam these days. Either you had actual training or you’re just a natural, but either way it’s a relief to hear a human who sounds like a human 🙂

      @@BigDavos Agreed. Unless you live in a large house and have very deep pockets I don't think anyone should be paying 24 grand just for a tv. Go with a tv that is somewhat smaller like maybe a 75" and only when prices for a 97" are more like what 65" and maybe 75 " are now. The speakers to fill up an average size house with good sound don't have to be nearly as large as these either but at least the cost of all the speakers in this video isn't what will break the bank for most people. The tv however is a different story. Unless you are wealthier than the average dude it makes no sense to be spending $24,000 dollars on a tv.

Or put the extra $ into escrow for a chiropractor on call.

    Ive had a Klipsch set up for about 10 years , definitely worth the investment. My Tv’s have changed but not the speakers. Had a 65 oled , went with a 75 inch qled but my only regret is not getting a 77 oled from the previous year. I prefer oled over any other type of tv. The 77 oled is coming eventually.

    I’m downsizing to smaller home and theater location is a concern of mine but this tv is the answer I was looking for. It’s perfect for my new home and hopefully when my new home is finished it will be a little cheaper 😂

    What I like about this video and this soon to be series is that you have amazing sound speakers going with an amazing screen. Sometimes you have amazing screens with not so great of a sound system to go with it so this is perfect. Looking forward to the series if it happens! Mahalo!!

    THANK YOU for telling it like it is. I know you are a Sony A95K fan but you REALLY seem to lose it when it came to experiencing the 97" LG G2. I like how you mentioned the size of it in a room and the sitting distance compared to the 65", it's exactly what I thought. I can go on about your review but you said it best. I also want to thank you for reviewing the Klipsch speakers and the receiver with them. I couldn't tell you how many times I go and look at those in stores only imagining it together with the 97" LG G2. Last note, If you don't cry once having to depart from that TV, I'll do it for you. - Thanks again!

    Dude you got it into the studio!!! Happy for you man. I've been living my G2, interesting that you didn't have to move the 97 inch, wonder what that's like. The G2 is hands down an experience to let wash over you.

    This is very interesting. I was not aware of the LG 97" TV. The good news for me is that we have a dedicated home theater and I'm now using a 2K projector and a 120" screen. I'm thinking of upgrading. My wife prefers the look of front projection. We find projection looks more "filmic" with movies. Even if I could afford the LG, I think I'll go with a much less expensive 4K projector, such as the Epson. Since I can go all the way down to total darkness, light pollution is not an issue.

    That tv is my dream for my system. I have an 11 channel w/ Klipsch rf7 iiis, all Klipsch surrounds, svs pb 16 ultra, JTR cap4000 and just got an 85 inch Samsung qn90b. Which is a great big tv for my theater. But a 97 inch oled would be my ultimate. One day when they becom more affordable. At least I have the sound system where I want it.

    Hi Caleb,
    The video has a dead pixel imbedded in the very lower middle of the screen. Can see at the 5:52 marker as well as later in the video with scanning shots of the speakers. Please confirm so I don't have to return my brand new G2.

    "Too big for most living rooms" is not really the case. Even for those who doesn't want the "cinema-massive" feel in their living room can use 25" pr meter of seating distance.
    Having 3-5 meter between you and the TV is not that uncommon.
    Same goes for wall space, its big yeah but not that rare to have a living room with 3+ meters of wall space to mount something like this.
    For most i'd say the bigger issue is having a room with enough volume and space to properly place something like a 7-9.2 + atmos setup, much more than they would accommodating 100" of screen.
    I'v used 110" at 3.5meter and that was big, but still not too big.
    Also much love to Klipsch, they are found in every room here (cinema room, living room, office, bedroom). Great performance without totally breaking the bank.

    I think it would be cool to have this type of set ups in the future. How close can you get for a fraction of the price? Only someone like you that has seen and heard so many different speakers can compare the differences. Lets get NASTY! lol

    • @twoknife
      @twoknife 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For starters, you can get a 98" QLED from TCL for about $5000. That alone pushes the whole setup below $10000. The Klipsch speakers are a pretty good deal already, so I don't think you will get much better for the price other than waiting for sales or building yourself.

    I would love to go with a massive OLED but unfortunately most TV still isn't in 4k and until content catches up, it's tough to justify the investment. It's nearly impossible to even find a legal way to watch NHL games let alone do so above 480p. Until content providers catch up to the technology, the upgrade isn't worth it.

    • @richardwestmoreland4796

      So true. Most tv content at least in Canada is delivered at a much lower resolution than what this 97" led is capable of delivering so you are paying big bucks for a tv that will likely be used for low resolution content if you mostly watch broadcast tv. It's like buying a Ferrari or some other exotic car and then only being allowed to use it for puttering around town. I don't understand why so much of broadcast television lags so far behind what tv manufacturers are making in terms of capable resolution. What's the hold up on getting more high resolution content?

    • @mack4477
      @mack4477 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Broadcast tv isn’t in 4k, but I don’t think that qualifies as “most tv” anymore going into 2023. Netflix, iTunes, Hulu, and other streaming services offer 4k. Not to mention physical media being superior to all of that when it comes to movies. There is more than enough content to make the purchase worth it.

  • @arekhe3348

    You will never get a movie theaters like experience from any TV. There's something in reflective light that appeals to me more than OLED. I have a 150" of screen real estate in my bedroom and a projector. Combine it with automatic window blinds and it beats everything in TV world for a fraction of price. I don't go to the movies anymore except Avatar 2 for a reference experience. Can't wait to be released for home theaters so I can compare to my bedroom Atmos setup. Bet it's damn close!

    Sweet set-up! How many cubic ft is the room? I have several systems for different things and cannot get enough of this type of content. Which blu ray player are you using for multi channel sacd's? The RP280FA's are still available for $699/pr as are the RP160m's for $195/pr. JBL has the Sub550P for $189 and the SVS PB1000 (non pro version) is regularly available for $499 and RSL Speedwoofer 10S MKii is $450. Amazon Basics RCA cables work great for very little $. The Denon AVR X4700H is $1500 plus the Onkyo TX RZ1100 is $1200 on the Onkyo website. The Denon AVR X3700H is now $1200. All of these products will equal or best what you have shown for much less money because they are not the newest models.

    I definitely can't afford it but its really great to dream a little and its great to see what is possible for today's tech. I have always thought that unless you can afford to spend $30,000+ on a really top-notch projector and screen, projector's just don't make sense for the average home setting when compared to buying the large format OLED or LCD as the colour vibrancy and image quality, not to mention ease of connection and setup of the tv's is So much better. But this tv takes that to an extreme.
