75th Independence day celebration at IIT Bombay

Patriotic fervor swept the campus on 15th August as IIT Bombay celebrated the 75th Independence Day which was truly azaadi ka amrit mohotsav. The national flag was hoisted at 9 am at the NCC area and near the main building, followed by a series of events which include the 1000 feet tiranga march which happened after 2 years on campus. The life-size statues of Dandi (salt satyagraha) marchers, lead by none other than our father of the nation. The 75th Anniversary of Independence Day is indeed a special occasion that we must not forget to celebrate and we should also pause for a while to remember the freedom fighters without whose sacrifices we would not have been where we are today.
